  • Today is flying by, probably because it took ages to do the grocery shop as it was so busy.  The remainder of the day will be spent cleaning and ironing, with a spot of catching up on missed telly.

PAD was a payment to the car account this morning. Aside from the grocery shopping no more money will be spent today though.

Hope everyone has a good sunny Saturday

Just seen that you posted after me on the Sealed Pot Challenge and I clicked on your debt free diary.  I've just come on here to be a cheerleader!  You're doing SO well - and many, many congratulations on clearing that last credit card.

If I could work out how to do a cartwheel emoji, I'd put it on.

  • Aww thank you for popping by to support! I really appreciate it.  It the 2nd to last that’s just been cleared, so still 1 to go but I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel now!

Cannot wait to be debt free after all these years.

Well, it’s a lazy Sunday for me today. Having had Friday off work, my perception of what day it is has been somewhat screwed 😂

I had to nip to the shopping centre this morning for a few pet things and to fill up with petrol. Prices are getting quite expensive now but I don’t use the car much so I basically fill up once a month.

Made my first bank round down PAD to CC7 this morning so this marks the beginning of the end… that sounds a lot more grand than it actually is, but it’s definitely how I feel.
Off to walk the dog now in the sunshine before I make some lunch
    Hope everyone is doing ok?

  • I've just emerged from 4 weeks of hell working 2 full time jobs and it's so lovely to come on here and read all of your enthusiasm and success. Gets me motivated to finish up the stuff I need to sort financially - my diaries and notes and plans have been somewhat neglected while I've been so busy.

Oh CCL, I’d noticed you’d been AWOL for a while and figured you’d just been super-busy with real life.  I hope that you’ve had a decent break over half term if work allowed, you work incredibly hard for your family and need to make sure you take some time for yourself x

  • Had the renewal for the dog insurance yesterday, it's going up £7 a month. So I have had a look at alternatives today and moved providers and saved £2 a month. A win-win :)

That reminds me. Our renewal for the dogs insurance should be due soon. Will have to have a shop around for that.

I went through TopCashback too so £25 should be winging it's way over to my account in a few months time :)

  • Monday again already and this time I have a full working week ahead... I'm fairly busy this week though so it should pass quickly.

I booked my dad's holiday for him last night and I remembered to go through my work benefits portal to get 1% cashback, I also managed to get him a little extra discount.  The cashback is not to be sniffed at when he's spent 2.5k on it, although it won't be paid until the holiday is over, I tend to let the cashback build up in there and use it at Christmastime anyway and I tend to forget about it anyway.

Today will be a NSD as I have a full day (long shift day) and no plans to go anywhere except to walk the dog. The weather doesn't look like it's going to be particularly good. hopefully the pooch won't sulk too much after we have been out, he hates the rain.

PAD this morning was £4.52 bank round down to CC7, I've yet to update my signature so that's my next job. Still no response from BT on the Clearscore search, so I will have to wait for it to show after 14th so I can raise it as a dispute.

No other updates from me, I'm just happy to be chipping away at that last card. :)
