Hello everyone, I had almost forgotten it was Monday! Back to work tomorrow which I’m NOT looking forward to
I have had a good weekend in terms of no or low spends and I’ve added some money to my sealed pot.I’ve also had a couple of credit score account results go up so I’m hopeful that I’m the next month or so the others will join them. It’s now been almost 6 months since we moved in so the new utility accounts and mortgage account will be dropping off my report as they’ll be more than 6 months old.No crochet yet @crazy_cat_lady but I will report back once I have had a crack at it.Not much else to report, I’m going to keep plugging away at that CC4 though, see how much I can knock off this month.Stay safe everyone

I have taken some time over the past few days to re-read this diary and I am astounded at how far I have come, in terms of paying down my credit cards, increasing my credit score and focusing on having savings. I am feeling rather proud.
I've had a couple of sleepless nights, not feeling very well at the moment but it's not Covid so I'm sure it will pass soon. I hope so anyway! Today will be a sofa day with the dog...I don't even feel up to eating Christmas chocolate
Today the statement for CC7 has been generated so paying that has taken me down to £13057.64. I'm certain that we will be below £13k in the next few weeks or so.
I haven't spent any money since Monday, which feels good. As such, my bank accounts were already rounded this morning so I'm glad the statement was readyIf they're still rounded tomorrow It'll have to be a £5 PAD lol
Things are going well with my Debt free by Xmas 22 challenge, today's payment takes me to 5% of my overall target, it's all very positive at the moment, apart from feeling ill.
Off to make a lemsip (other cold remedies are available)

Woke up feeling worse than yesterday, we were supposed to be going out for dinner this evening but I am definitely not up for that. Will be another sofa evening, probably with a movie. Made a larger than usual PAD as nothing has really been spent this week. I have an opticians appointment at lunchtime but I am going to have to call them and rearrange, I don't want to be snivelling and sneezing on the optometrist, and getting scowls from other patients.
I started the crocheting yesterday. I just picked it up as and when I felt able to, I think it's going to take a lot of practice, but I will get there I am sure! I can already see how some folks find it really therapeutic. I can't remember the last time I had to take a sick day, but my head feels full of cotton wool and it's really hard to concentrate so I would rather take the time to get better and not risk making any mistakes at work.
I am hoping to start feeling better over the weekend, as the hair is getting desperate for a colour. I have the dye, just not the motivation
Happy Friday though, I hope you have good days!

Thanks guys! At this point I don’t even care if it lasts the weekend, as long as I can start next week feeling well xxLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25713

I find crochet so relaxing, unless I'm too tired for it (like tonight) - then I just make lots of mistakes and get annoyed.
Hope that you're feeling better soonNot giving up

Hi all, a little update from me
The crochet is proving to be tricky, as I can't seem to keep my fingers in the right places. I'm sure I will get there and find a way that works for me.
Today marks 6 months in the new house, so I guess it's not really 'new' anymoreThe time has flown by and we are still super happy that we moved here. Celebrating with a nice roast dinner this evening and maybe a bottle of fizz left over from the festive period.
I had CC4 statement generated yesterday, but it came through after I had already made my PAD so that regular payment has been made today and I'm now at £12995.08! I've broken the £13k barrier... I still have another 16 days of PADding before payday too so this will be a great debt reduction month for me.
I am finally feeling better, so today will be tackling the housework I have ignored since I started to feel rundown and then about 3 hours worth of ironing. That'll be a fun day won't it? I usually iron watching the telly so I will probably do it whilst the footy is on as I don't need to watch intently. I might even get round to dying my hair!
At least the weather seems to have settled and it looks like I won't need waterproofs to walk the dog today. I know it's winter but the rain is sooo depressing.
That's all from me folks, I'm pleased on the milestone front and I feel like it's given me a little kick start.

6 months has flown by.
People still refer to our house as the new house and we will have been in 3 years at Easter 🤣🤣🤣2 -
Haha! Yeah I’m not sure how long we will keep referring to it as such… with the recent weather we are so glad we are here, the old house was so cold in the winter timeLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711
