  • Happy to share my good vibes CCL, sending you some positivity :)

I am just so keen on clearing my debt now, I can’t really think about much else haha. We all have very different circumstances and you definitely have a lot going off in life.

I will try an additional late dog walk to see if that helps, I did struggle to sleep again last night.

  • Slept a bit better over the last few nights, not sure if it was due to more exercise and fresh air or whether I was just exhausted.  Either way, it's a win.

Made my PAD's to CC4, a bit higher today as my refund for the contact lenses came through, but we used my car to travel yesterday so £50 of it has gone on fuel. To be honest I hardly use my car anymore so I don't always keep tabs on the fuel level so that's my bad. Today will be a NSD as I'm not going anywhere and all meals are in the cupboard.

We are out tomorrow evening for a friend's birthday so that won't be a NSD but Weds should be, and then we are finally at pay day!  I cannot wait, someone on the radio yesterday said they felt this month had gone quickly - I said aloud "are you insane? It's lasted 3 months!"

Added 50p (wow!) to the sealed pot yesterday, the only cash I got my mitts on! Every little helps though, right? :D

Nothing else to report, this week is looking to be another busy one with a couple of loooong quarterly review meetings and I have quite a big project underway.  Another day, another dollar or 2...

  • Up early again this morning but I seemed to have a good night's sleep so I am feeling quite refreshed.

Made my usual PAD this morning and then checked my credit scores (rolls eyes, yes, I know!) However.... My Experian score is now 999!  I'm bloody thrilled! *does a happy dance*

I obviously had to share with you all as I have been working on my credit scores for a year now and I feel like I've reached the hallowed ground!  You've all been here with me and seen the highs and lows, the worries and the celebrations so I feel like it's almost a joint achievement :D

There are still 2 days to pay day... Although I have some money left in the bank I will need some for dinner and drinks tonight for the birthday celebrations.  I will see what's left over tomorrow.

No other news, I feel this is probably enough for one day :)

    Well done.

I watch our credit scores as well even though I know they are meaningless. Still a little high though when they go up :)

Ours are all in the excellent banding now, for what is probably the first time ever. Plan to keep them that way now.
  • Plan to keep them that way now.

That's my aim too... to be honest, I thought the 999 was an impossible score but they've proven me wrong!

  • It's the last day before pay day so I have sent a larger PAD to round down CC4 and that takes my overall owed to £12500.  There'll be more to reduce it tomorrow but for now I'm relatively happy with the figures.

Had a nice time out last night, with good food, company and a good few drinks.  I didn't spend all my money either so the leftover cash has gone into the sealed pot this morning, taking it over the £600 mark.

I have a busy day today with work, and we have some sorting and cleaning to do tonight round the house, and a few things for OH to put in the loft. I don't venture up there!

I feel like I slept well last night, and the sun is shining today which always makes me feel better :)  It's usually around now that I start to notice it staying lighter a little later too and spring won't be far away.  The only good thing about Winter is Christmas in my opinion :D

Hope everyone has a good day!

PS - logged into Experian this morning just to make sure the score was for real! Might have taken a screenshot too :D

  • Hey @LittleMissDetermined, I'm new to the forum after finally facing up to my debts and have been reading through your diary. Well done on making such amazing progress! It's so motivating to read all these inspirational diaries :)

Congrats on the 999 Experian score, that must be a nice boost to see!

Also, thanks for introducing me to the concept of PAD, which sounds like a great idea.

Thank you so much! 😊 It’s not always been an easy ride, and I’ve fallen off the MSE wagon twice before but I really think that I’m going to crack it this time!

Welcome to the forum, it’s absolutely the best place to get the motivation you need, and there’s a wealth of experience around to help you with any questions.

The 999 is still unbelievable :D

PADing is the best and it’s my way of doing something every day to make a difference to my financial situation

So glad you enjoyed reading my diary, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster to be honest

Hurrah! Today is pay day 🙌

As I decided earlier in the month, I’ve paid a larger amount off of CC4, this takes my overall debt to £11900. PADding will still be needed for CC4 as the statement isn’t generated yet and I will need to cover the minimum payment.

As my debt is getting lower, I’m starting to think of the things I WANT, rather than need and I’ve started to make a little post-debt wish list.  So when I really want something, I add it (along with the price) to the list.
This will keep me at it, because I will easily be able to see what I could have treated myself to instead of spending all my money on debt payments.
That’s the idea anyway. I hope it works!
Today will be a NSD, as I’m not going anywhere, the same for tomorrow.
Although I’ve been paid, the payroll savings haven’t hit my online account yet so I don’t know what extra has been added to my virtual section of the sealed pot. Will keep an eye out later today as it’s still early :)
    Have a lovely day

    @LittleMissDetermined

That's a really good idea writing down a Wish list to keep you motivated.  I think I will pinch that idea myself!

You are doing so well, keep up with it!
