Thanks @shell16 I do think it will encourage me as the sooner I clear the debt, the sooner I can get the treats! I'm still super-proud of where I am in relation to where I started, so I just wanted to keep that momentum going.

Congrats on the 999 Experian score, that must be a nice boost to see!
Also, thanks for introducing me to the concept of PAD, which sounds like a great idea.
Welcome to the forum, it’s absolutely the best place to get the motivation you need, and there’s a wealth of experience around to help you with any questions. The 999 is still unbelievable
PADing is the best and it’s my way of doing something every day to make a difference to my financial situation
So glad you enjoyed reading my diary, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster to be honest

I (think?) I'm now subscribed to your diary so I look forward to following your updates!2 -
Today will be a NSD, ahead of the weekend which will be quite spendy.
This morning I have paid my car loan (bank of dad), an account round down to CC4 and I've put £400 into my EF so it's out of the main account and out of temptations way. This leaves the account looking rather sorry for itself but I know I have enough left in there for the month due to my trusty spreadsheet.
It does mean that my PADs this month won't be as big as they were last month where I was rounding down to the £10 rather than the £5. But extra payments, no matter how small will still add up and make a difference.
Today is a busy day work-wise and I have back to back meetings again - it seems so mean on a Friday! So I have taken this opportunity before the first one starts to grab a cuppa and update the diary.
Since starting my wish list, I am surprised how little is on there... I do think this journey (and perhaps Covid) has changed my spending habits. Don't get me wrong, the list is made up of expensive things I want but don't need but there was a time I could have written a list as long as my leg of things I wanted...
I hope everyone has a cracking Friday

Thanks!Only made small payments this weekend as it’s been quite spendy and we are away for valentines weekend so that’ll be costly too…
I think this weekend has flown by, and to be honest I am not looking forward to work tomorrow
Maybe I need to book a few days off just for myself and have some downtime.Hope everyone had had a great weekend

Taking a five minute break to grab a coffee whilst I can. Today is another busy day for me, in fact, it's set to be the week of busy-ness for me! Taking a few days off is getting more and more appealing!
I made another PAD this morning, almost all of my other bills are due out tomorrow and then I can re-assess the spare cash situation. Even a couple of £ every day will soon add up though I'm sure.
Had an email from Credit Karma today congratulating me on my 'new home', as I've now got a mortgage... even though it's been on my report for 5 months now. How bizarre
No changes on the credit score front, but I'm happy with where they are. I added some cash to my sealed pot from using real money on Saturday night so that's at just under £650 now. I know some of that was my Christmas money, but I will make an effort to use cash more so I can add bits in when I get change.
Today will be a NSD as I'm not going anywhere and tonight will be a film night I think, hiding from this horrible weather!
Stay safe everyone

Morning all
I hope everyone's doing OK?
My PAD this morning was a whopper and covers various bills that have come out to different places. It's quite depressing when the account gets decimated so far away from pay day, but my trusty spreadsheet lets me know what's still available to spend.
My Totally Money credit score has gone up this morning to 628 from 609 - not a big jump, but it's positive none-the-less! Was hoping it would top out like Experian but you can't win them all
I do have some cash money in my purse, so I should be able to add more to the sealed pot over the next few days which is good. Maybe not to the amounts I've been adding lately, but saving is saving!
Whilst I have squirreled some money away to the EF this month, I may well need to use some of it to cover valentine's weekend. I suppose the up-side is that there won't be a need to add anything to a credit card.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday. It'll be another NSD for me, no plans to go anywhere and work is manic.

I looked at my bank balance this morning and was thoroughly depressed by it. One day after pay day and it's looking sorry for itself already after the big direct debits have come out this morning.
Thankfully the other half gets paid weekly on a Friday so it gets topped up throughout the month
We are behind ourselves already this month though and catching up from the other half having ten days off sick last month and not being paid for them. We should catch up and be on an even keel again, hopefully, throughout this month.2 -
I totally know what you mean. I was sick in January for a few days but it was after cut off so it will impact Feb pay.I was hoping to feel better that January was finally overLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711
