  • Make the most of the magic then @CL21! I’m counting down to Christmas every day….

The advent for the dog is good! A little bag of 3 meaty treats every day for him

  • Happy Monday all!

I'm happy to report that I have only spent £20 this weekend, it hasn't been very spendy at all!  Which is a good thing as the car is in for the service today and I'm dreading the call to discuss remedial work... I do have some money set aside, I just hope it's enough to cover what needs doing.

As it's December, I get paid next Monday.  In my opinion this is far too early and will be tempting to have a pre-Christmas splurge.  So, next Monday morning I will be moving my whole salary into my savings account and then on the 27th which is my usual pay day I will pop it back in to my current account again.  This is the only way I can make sure I don't have a really tight January... which always feels like the longest month anyway!

I had another cashout from receipt snapping over the weekend, so that was another £10 amazon gift card which is always handy. I also managed to pop some cash into the sealed pot for the 2022 challenge. I'm hoping that by the time it's opened in October it will more than cover Christmas and maybe have some to put towards a holiday.

No plans for this evening, but out with friends tomorrow, weds and Friday. it's that pre-Christmas rush to catch up setting in, especially as we just don't see each other as much as we would have pre-covid.  So, unlike the weekend this week will be quite spendy!

Fingers crossed for good news from the garage :D

Well done you!!  Those PAD payments definitely add up, in all honesty im just keeping check of the additional payments I make over the usual payments as I wanted to see how much EXTRA im chucking at the debt.

  • Thanks @shell16 :)  I hadn’t thought of doing it like that until I saw your signature but I could probably work it out from the tracker I have on a spreadsheet.  I just want to clear mine and finally be debt free… then I’ll tackle the mortgage :D
