Too right @Skint_yet_Again! All back to normal now (well better than normal
) hopefully it was just an isolated glitch

Well, what a weekend I had, away with the girls and not as 'spendy' as I thought it would be... back home to Narnia yesterday with snow all over! Whilst it looks pretty, I am glad I don't need to go anywhere today, especially with the plummeting temperatures and it's all turning to ice.
So, Christmas presents all bought and wrapped, cards and letters written. Everything is ready for posting on December 1st. I am feeling very organised this year, but December usually ends up being so hectic I can meet myself coming backwards so I am glad I've got a jump on it.
Our plan is to put the decorations up on Weds evening, there are a few on our street who have already done so, but I would feel better waiting for it to be December.
In terms of money, I make enough PAD's to CC4 to cover at least the minimum payment so I have already paid £200 off that on pay day (my statement isn't until the 6th). The overall balance is coming down nicely, I've been adding bits to my sealed pot for next Christmas and I've not really missed it so that's a bonus... almost £200 in there now.
My experian credit score has gone up again, by 30 points! Much to my delightNo change on any of the others but they're all at a decent level so I'm a happy lady.
With PADding and my standard CC7 payment, my balance should get below £13500 by the end of next month. At Christmas last year I owed £25,660 so I've come a long way. I was also paying a lot of interest before and now I have managed to get 0% deals so the pressure to make huge payments is a little less. Given the economic situation the UK finds itself in I'm doubtful I will be able to shift CC4 to another 0% deal when it's due (May) so may have to re-evaluate over the next few months.
What was intended as a quick update has turned into a ramble... apologies!
Hope everyone's safe and well

Thanks so much @shell16! I'm really pleased with how far I have come and to be honest, if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have ever managed it. I love the challenges and the fact that doing a little bit often can have a really big impact overall.

Happy Friday peeps!I have been awake since 4am, just cannot get back to sleep… it was a late night last night too so you can bet I’ll get a mid-shift funk where I feel the need to nap
It’s been a good week for me in terms of finances
* very low spends (after my spendy weekend) and most days, no spends!
* money added to SPC
* PADding is bringing down that CC4 balance.* utilised credit is now just over 20% of my available amount.I have had a BT offer from one of my zero balance cards… it’s 24 months at 0% with a 3% fee. I just don’t know whether to transfer CC4 balance early whilst I have the offer or chance it and hope I’ll have something similar in May when my 0% runs out. What should I do?Maybe this is what’s impacting my sleep! Haha
Better go and get the coffee machine started… have a fab day everyone

Tricky one with the BT card.
I would be tempted to do the transfer and then set the repayment to clear the balance in those 24 months if at all possible.1 -

I just feel like I might be losing 5 months extra interest free period… but I don’t want to cut my nose off to spite my face 🤷🏻♀️Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711 -
Happy Monday folks.
I've had a non-spendy weekend, which is good in comparison to last weekend! Mainly been doing chores and running errands, managed to get in some TV catch up time too.
Had the statement for CC7 this morning so £100 knocked off that total, still waiting for CC4 statement but will be more than the £44 so I'll definitely get below £13.5k this month, maybe even less. There are still some big things I need to pay for this month, so I'm not going overboard... My car is due for it's annual service and you know what the dealership garages are like, they will always find something that costs over and above the service charges.
We are all sorted in terms of being ready for Christmas, just the food shopping to do. Although that in itself seems to be far more stressful than it should be, the shops only close for a few days but everyone seems to go bonkers.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
