I rounded my mortgage down with an overpayment, but because (I think) of the interest it knocked an extra penny off and now ends at 99p … my eye was twitching when I saw it 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Well, Monday's soon come around don't they?
Although at least the sun is shining today which makes me feel a little bit more cheery.
I have to confess that I have had a spendy weekend with friends and family gatherings. I have also been invited to a halloween party next weekend so I have bought a fancy dress costume. Good job payday is just around the corner! Having been on holiday and going out, October hasn't been the best MSE month for me so hopefully November will be better.
I need to start putting a list of things I would like for Christmas together, family are asking what to buy and as usual I have no idea. The crochet kit was an idea but other than that, I'm drawing a blank. Never used to have this problem when I was a kid!

I know it’s early, but I can’t sleep at the minute and I had to share with those who will understand my joy…. Experian is back on track and my score has gone up by… 196 points!

Another good morning for me as it’s pay day (yahoooo!) I did have about £150 left over across my accounts so I’ve moved this to my EF.I’ve also started to include my pay day savings in my EF as I don’t see it go as it’s taken straight from payroll and then I end up forgetting about it.All told there’s just over £1k for my EF now and I’ve earmarked more in this months budget to add to it. Clearly Christmas approaching will have an impact but I’m trying to make a list and stick to it rather than impulse buying when I see something cute for someone I’ve already bought a gift forI do not need to use my EF for household emergencies anymore as we have a separate house account with plenty in. But having been made redundant more than a few times in my working life I would like to get a 3 month salary buffer so that if the worst happens, there’s no immediate financial pressure. No big plans this fiscal month, a few outings with friends and family, all low key. And I’m away with friends at the end of next month but I’ll be paid again before that so that was well planned haha.Still beaming about my credit score, I feel like my hard work is paying off.I’m also still trying to pull together a Christmas wish list. Haven’t gotten any further than the crochet… any inspirational ideas?Better get back to work… coffee break is over
Have a lovely day

Not sure how it's only blooooody Tuesday
I'm ready for the weekend already.
Yesterday was a NSD and today is set to be the same. I have plenty of food in, and we aren't going anywhere over the next few days except to walk the dog.
I've struggled to sleep lately so was up before the birds this morning. Already made my PAD and balanced the spreadsheets, checked my credit scores (again) haha.
One good thing I found this morning whilst waiting for the world to wake up was a rewards scheme through my mobile provider. I have linked my debit card and I get cash back on my spending in certain stores (lots of which I use) and online to put towards my mobile bill. I wish I had found it sooner, I've not seen it advertised before but some of the offers have been live since March so I've probably missed out on quite a bit of cash back!
Feel like I've done a bit more for MSE me today though so that's brightened my day (even though it's only Tuesday)
LMD x

Just realised that with standard payments and PADding this month I should be able to dip my total card debt under the £14k mark - this makes me so very happy!
