Mid-week update from me, nothing of significance to report to be honest. I have been making my daily PADs and I am already looking forward to pay day. We have had some news on the house and we are just waiting for one document to land before we can exchange contracts.
It's getting really close to that stamp duty holiday deadline so there's quite a lot of pressure from the top of our chain as they will have a hefty chunk of money to pay if we complete after 30th June. I have been on an emotional rollercoaster with this move, I keep getting really excited and then when things crop up I have been beside my self with worry and anxiety.
Try as I might, I just can't switch off. If we are lucky, we will be moving next week. So I am carrying on sorting and packing as if that's the case.
I can imagine the conveyancer's will be getting a fair it of stick if it doesn't happen!
Anyway. I'm still below the £16k mark so I am feeling happy about that
Have a lovely rest of the week

A bit of good news this morning, I checked my credit karma account and my score has gone up again (eeek!) I’m now only 12 points away from the ‘excellent’ category
That’s something I never thought would happen:D
I know people say this is a made up nonsense figure but it’s brightened my day- something very much needed at the moment haha

Mind you mine have all took a hit and gone down recently as we took out the van finance. Still I can work at getting them heading in the right direction again now.
Good luck with the house move.2 -
Thanks, we are still waiting to hear so I am not very hopeful.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £4931 | EF £669/£1000 | Sabbatical £3026/£3000 | Travel savings £1791 | Sinking pots £19611

Have a good day today, fingers crossed you hear something positive about your house move today x2

No news on the house yet. We have started to look on rightmove for alternative properties as we are not convinced our chain will complete. We can't stay here for a number of reasons so we will still complete on our sale.
Debt wise, I am 3 days from pay-day and looking forward to it! Not much left in the accounts so daily PADs have been low and we will not be going out until the weekend, we have food in to see us through with the exception of a mid-week fresh loaf.
I'm still thrilled to be under the £16k mark, the payments until we move will be low as we may need to pay for things at short notice (i.e removals) so I am trying to keep some aside for that.
My clearscore rating has dropped (Credit Karma is still high) and it looks like it's due to one of my oldest cards being 'inactive' so I will pop some petrol in and use that, and then pay it off straight away to make sure it stays active. I think on that card I had an interest adjustment when I cleared it so I am actually a few pence in credit
Hope you all have a good day

How frustrating with the house. Really feel for you.
We have been lucky that both of our purchases have been chain free. Even then the first one was a drawn out and lengthy process due to our rubbish conveyancers!!2 -
