Wow t14cy_t, we don't have a Morries near here and I've never seen any bargains as good as that in the local supermarkets.
My first shops for March, between Boots, Sains and Adli, came to £29.33 and include toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo as well as general groceries. I include basic toiletries in the grocery spend.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget8 -
@t14cy_t brilliant bargains, well done you.
You asked about ways with sausages and my suggestion is a sheet of ready rolled puff pasty thinly spread with mustard/chutney/ketchup/honey or whatever you have that will taste nice and then cut into strips and rolled round the sausages. Snip or cut slashes in the tops and then brush with egg or milk and bake in the oven, seam side down. (Puncture the sausage skins before encasing them.)
ETA: amended my vocabulary anent sausage preparation, I had forgotten that the word I used is offensive, sorry.7 -
@elsiepac Can you put me down for £300 this month please? I'm getting confused and it doesn't take much 😕. Pay day is today for us so I go from today till April 6th. We done a click and collect today for my 4 weekly shop. Plus I popped into Asde for stuff that I couldn't get on online shopping, I was very good I only brought what was on my list apart from crisps for my ladies lunch box everyday. Need to go to a local farm to get a tray of eggs and a sack of potatoes. That will be it for now. Since the virus has been about weve been buying some frozen veg. Unless we need more milk or bread we should be OK. Will pop on tomorrow to add how much weve spent so far. Keep safe everyone XMortgage free September 2021. Narrowboat brought October 2021

Forgot to add a note of my spending earlier and then decided that a separate post is better anyway.
Have spent in two separate expeditions to M*rks and Sp*nc*r a grand total of £3.20 on milk and yoghurt and have used the y/s fund to snap up cashews, mixed dried fruit and nuts, sourdough, oaty bloomer, sliced mango and easy peelers with leaves.
Total spend to date is £40.29/£124 which is £4.47 per day which is already looking a lot better."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Just spent £34.56 in Aldi. Puts this week up to £92.53. It seems a lot but I had been spending around £115 a week until recently. Also, I now have quite a lot in stock that next week will be quite a bit lower. This forum is making me much more aware of my spends - thank you all!9
