He carried on in that vein for the whole time I was moving things from his boxes to the bags in my hall, then stood there for another 5 minutes banging on like a doorstep evangelist before finally leaving. Warning bells - does this mean that Tesco employs vaccine refusers who will presumably be able to mix with the public (I'm elderly & vulnerable with underlying health issues)? Do the big supermarkets check up on employees who remain unvaccinated (for whatever reason)? Worrying.
sorry that you feel worried about it but I certainly don’t and wouldn’t be offended by it but rather just enjoy the fact that In this day and age we’ve now got the luxury to have our daily/weekly/monthly shopping picked, packed, put on a truck and delivered right to our front door by a handful of people....something that just didn’t exist 20 years ago.
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

When I had my jabs I was given a record card and asked to keep it in my wallet. I assumed that everyone gets one at the time of their jab(s). Presumably employers can ask workers who mix with the general public to show their cards? Or would this constitute a gross abuse of their right to be part of the problem rather than part of the answer to it?0

Not everybody gets a card and yes, it would be an abuse of their rights.0

Its not a requirement to work in the NHS either, so perhaps you need to avoid doctors and hospitals as well? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

If you’re uncomfortable with the thought of being near an unvaccinated delivery driver when getting a delivery it’s really up to you to adjust to that.
There’s something quite sinister about implying the person out working during a pandemic making deliveries to people who don’t want to go out for their shopping should be sacked just in case those he delivers to might feel uncomfortable.6 -

The worried person always has the option of buying a proper FFP3 mask which stops 99% of all germs, viruses getting to you. Seems a simple and obvious solution to me for anyone still worried about whether others will infect them.2 -

Presumably employers can ask workers who mix with the general public to show their cards? Or would this constitute a gross abuse of their right to be part of the problem rather than part of the answer to it?You obviously have a serious and deep concern about catching covid and I wonder if you perhaps have anyone that you can talk to? I am concerned that you are still apparently isolating and perhaps have rather got yourself painted into a corner with your fear which may do you more harm. This is unlikely to go away and indeed it seems possible that mask restrictions will once again be dropped in the foressable future and as compulsory jabs are not mandated in the UK (and nor should they be) it is probable that you will interact with more and more unvaccinated and un masked people as the year wears on. You may need to look at dealing with your fears in a calm and controlled manner ready for probable changes as this disease hopefully burns itself out or settles into more of a minor threat. As for reporting the driver- I can't see how it would help at all as others have pointed out jabs are not compulsory, and a report considered malicious or frivolous might well see your deliveries stop altogether.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Most employers don't check if staff are vaccinated (although Ikea now won.t pay sick pay to unvaxxed).
If he is outside and keeping a good distance there is no requirement for a mask, but if you would be more comfortable then again you could politely ask them to wear a mask.
Or if you are really concerned then get some proper FFP2/3 masks for yourself.0 -
Just think before anyone was vaccinated, the delivery people were still delivering, interesting.1

And we all came into work offices coughing and spluttering with colds and Flu etc and thought nothing of it. The culture was that you just soldiered on and if you didn't you were a wuss with "man flu" etc. How times change !Anyway the great news now is that mask mandates are disappearing day after tomorrow, Thursday."from 27 January, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering."It's now up to overly concerned individuals to protect themselves by buying and wearing proper FFP3 masks if they want to.
