We clean all our post and even when touching the junk mail etc we have to wash our hands. There should be a law against leaflets where they can't post it to trough our letter box unless we have a sign on the letter box allowing this.0

Honestly, I've never read so much nonsense in a long time. We've gone from a nation of well balanced people who believe in freedoms and personal responsibility to one where people are paranoid, lacking all sense of perspective and personal responsibility, instead wanting the Government to tell them and everyone else in minute detail exactly what they can and cannot do. No wonder dictatorships around the world are laughing. Some people just need to get a grip.
Covid is not going to disappear in the near future and whilst the vaccine is helpful we're still going to have to learn to live with it as we do with other viruses. Take simple, basic precautions and control what you can control, nothing in life has ever been totally safe.
The thought that we've reached a stage where people worry about delivery drivers and postmen and consider stepping outside the front door akin to cheating death I find really sad actually. How far away is it from when we see people walking around like Jude Law in Contagion.

Rudeness can be very subjective - but in some cases can be very obvious and apparent8 -
Pretty sure I have said before on here some FB groups I am on. People are washing their food shopping down with bleach!!! and putting their post in the garage for 7 days before touching it. I can understand when it all started as nobody knew. But it has been said the viral load is so low you are are going to be very unlucky to catch it that way. Just open your post read it deal with it then recycle or bin and then wash your hands. Its the same as you should have been doing anyway even before convid and more so during cold and flu season.YoursCalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!

And washing your hands on a regular basis should be something we all do anyway. And something we should do before preparing food and also before you sit down to eat, after touching and cleaning up after a pet etc. That is why I found it strange that shops were running out of soap and handwash. Shows people were not washing their hands before all this startedYour phone and keyboard has more germs on it than your toilet seat. But how many people wipe their phones/keyboards down? often we use them while eating a sandwich!!!! Makes you think.YoursCalley

You can get too paranoid and rightly or wrongly I'm nearly there and very cautious.
About deliveries, we tell them to leave it on the step as we have a clear side panel adjacent to the door. We then wear disposable gloves and leave the parcel/s in our garage that can also be access from the inside of our house. It is sprayed with that Dettol antibacterial spray and left there for days or weeks depending when we need it. When opened, everything is cleaned with antibacterial wipes and rubbish put into bin and hands washed.
The sooner this virus is over the better for all of us.1
