So I need some pots and pans, any suggestions??

I'm sure the ones I had before were Tefal and they were alright.

    My pan experience!
LeCreuset - Love it, got my dark green set in 1996 as a house warming from my parents. It still looks great and was used day-in day-out until 2016 when we got a new kitchen and DH decided it was too heavy and not practical as it couldn't go in the dishwasher (wooden handles).
John Lewis - so we replaced with JL own - I think it this set: pans . They started to look scruffy within two years, and by the end of 2020 were functional but embarrassing!
So they have been replace with Green Pan - can't remember which ones, but think double the price of the JL, half the price of Lecreuset! Only had them since last Summer, but happy so far.
And my best frying pan is a Tefal!
    2014 starting mortgage £165,000
2015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in full
    Current outstanding balance - £115,856

  • Aw thank you! I'm going to get a set from Tefal.
  • Nothing much to report on the home front for me.

I was hoping to have heard from the solicitor as she said she would be in touch by the end of the week but nothing. Should I call her tomorrow for an update or just leave it until she contacts me?

  • Thanks @beanielou if I haven't heard anything by Wednesday I'll check in with her.
  • Got the car back and I am down £560.00.

That's quite a dent in my furniture fund but had to be done, can't live without the car.

Got a quote for a removal, now bear in mind it is furniture from one bedroom,a couple of TV's, a TV unit, washing machine and a few bags and boxes - £360.00. Told them just to leave it.

Got another quote - £120.00. Will get that booked later on just need to confirm with the BF before I sort it.

Have my appointment with the solicitor on Wednesday morning to sign all the paperwork. She asked me to send my proof of my deposit over so I just sent images of my bank account? Hoping that will be enough, if not I can get something printed from the bank to take with me on Wednesday.

I wonder why the charges were so different.

When I was asked for proof of deposit, I sent them my bank statements (just downloaded from the banks' websites) for six months. They want to confirm that your deposit is not naughty money essentially, my deposit was gained from saving from my salary so I just highlighted my income to them. The solicitor will let you know if they need more information.
  • Honestly who knows. I was shocked when they told me the first price, reminded them it wasn't a full house of furniture and they said price would remain the same.

Take my business elsewhere then! Just waiting on the other guy to get back to me to confirm the booking.

Also not money or mortgage related but I survived a whole day back on my diet - whoop whoop!!! Really struggle to get past day 2 so we'll see how I go today  :D
