Weekly Flylady Thread 8th February 2021

Evening all

I managed an earlier finish this evening so I have flown!! Office, spare room, top floor landing and stairs hoovered and dusted, bathroom cleaned, upstairs bins emptied, pile of papers dealt with... filing and shredding, also tidied my desk thoroughly as it was looking very cluttered, condensed all of the post it reminders and notes on bits of paper that I have been jotting to myself this week into my notebook so I can see where I’m at. My work to do list has barely shrunk this week, I feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water but hey ho.

Supper has been heated and eaten,  an easy meal from the freezer, wultd, wm loaded ready for the morning, kitchen wiped down. DH has gone out to tackle the Mr T shop, I’m going to sit and read for an hour.

Hoping I’ve done enough to keep me in the flylady club, hugs to all, roll on Friday!!

Hi all (dazzled by the reflection of Fayolle's halo!).

Nice to see you HB!  My parents have loads of photos, I dont even know who is in half of the pictures, and they arent interested in sorting them out which is such a shame.

Sooo tired, been in the office today, it's always a full on day.  I have a headache again too but you will all be pleased to know that I am going to the opticians tomorrow, encouraged by you lovely lot.

DH managed to turn the slow cooker off by accident.  DS, blessed him, knocked up a veggie pasta bake for me, and found some bits out of the freezer for him and DH.

Flying non-existent, unless you count taking washing off the airer folding it and putting it away.  I will catch up tomorrow.

No flying here today, worked until late.  Got home and  we're both freezing cold.  I've had a zoom with DD2 to see what she wants us to bring from her bedroom.  We're going to other house tomorrow for the weekend and then going to the place she is renting on Saturday to get keys etc.  Very pleased with T boots today, I didn't get cold feet.   DH is cooking risotto for me so going to enjoy a glass of red whilst I wait.
See you tomorrow morning when I will try and fly

It's a joy to have you back with us, asb.  We've missed you xx 

I did all my flying list except that we had leftovers for tea instead of roast, which is held over for tomorrow.
I have also phoned DS2 this evening to see whether he'd had a reaction to his jab.  He said he's felt a bit grotty for a couple of days but is fine now, and he's starting a few days of annual leave to coincide with half term, which will mean that all the family can do non-work things together

DH is already in bed and not very well again this evening.  I'm not phoning anybody about him just yet, as he is no longer confused and he's not been coughing, but I am keeping a careful eye on him.

I shall try to stay awake long enough to record and file away the next family group before I fall into bed.  Had to clear the piles of papers off the bed behind my chair before I z00med this morning, so now I've got to un-pile them again IYSWIM.  Rosie is keeping me company in the study and waiting for her bedtime treats.

Thank you for all your good wishes. Walked to Mum’s. More cleaning done there. We have brought or should I say DH has brought 2 electric beds and mattresses downstairs ready to go out tomorrow as the council are offering free collection for 3 items this week. I have found the slips for my brownie badges and postcards I received whilst at school. My Mum also saved the forms for Guide camp in 1978. I feel it is going to be a long process.

HB.. you are always missed.. I had LW in my thoughts today, I miss her too. I found myself missing a few online friends who have moved on from this life today too.. must be having a hormonal day.. Toots and CY and Kath (not MSE)

DW been run with cat bowls and oven trays. One of the double cat bowls is broken so I will need to replace that asap.
Super cheap rollers arrived so I can crack on with the painting.

Dots appointment today/tomorrow as I've not yet been to bed.. 3:30 I think.. I will have to check.. I am so anxious about a video call I want to vomit.. it's horrible..

My mother has been round today, we had been to pick up some wallpaper she bought from FB marketplace.. she had been blocked by the seller for offering too little.. so I messaged her and she was lovely. I'm clearly just much nicer than my mother haha. I demanded OH and the girls clear the front room of gibble while I was out so I could vacuum it.. then my mother came back with me and then it was dinner and bed and then I couldn't vacuum because the girls were in bed so I will do it tomorrow. I'm not actually sure where the vacuum cleaner is...I am that person!

My eczema looks a smidgeon better at the moment.. fingers crossed.. though I am expecting it to be bad tomorrow, it is anxiety/stress realted and I am right up there.

I need a hole punch.. over the years I must have bought hundreds and can never ever find one when I want it. I am having Squeak cut the pretty pictures on the christmas cards into tags for next christmas.. it will keep her occupied for a bit. I used to spend hours and hours doing them for my nanna when I was little. I think I might have been an unusally weird child tbh looking at what I did and what my children have done. I used to do dusting and ironing FOR FUN!!!! FUN!!! How I wish it was fun now!

OH and girls are at dentist on Tuesday 3pm. I have it in my phone and they will ring on Monday to remind me.. but I am a bit dim.

anyway.. 2:47am... I need my nest!

Narco.. I woke up with black cats on my bed.. they are much wigglier than dogs.. and they bite more!  I think I shot all the black dogs here..

HB don't worry about not using the lists, if anything on them gives you a little help then we've done our job 🙂

Sorry I've been absent..no excuse really and I haven't done any flying either..lol  Yesterday I purposely didn't do anything as it was my birthday, which was really weird as this was the first one during lockdown. Couldn't go anywhere for the day, and to top that the snow had snowed us in..🙁 Even the postie couldn't get to me 🙁 It was weird with just one card especially as I knew cards were on the way..lol

Anyway I shall make a start on clearing up the kitchen and degrotting it I think. Can't do much more packing as they haven't swapped over the unit yet (owner can't get in due to snow) and I'm getting over run with boxes - I swear they multiply 🤣

It’s office day for me today, last one for a few days as DD has to have a Cv test tomorrow so we are all confining ourselves to barracks. Flying today is likely to be minimal - I’ve not even got the clean washing to fold as I did that last night. I might have to be inventive when I get home just so that I can post...

Morning everyone.  Quick check in from me before I go and pack as we are going to the other house today, the first time since Christmas.  Taking all sorts of stuff for DD2 as she moves into new place tomorrow.  It is furnished as it's a holiday let in the summer but ideal for her as her internship last until end of June.  She wants her baking bits etc and a few personal things.  Very excited about going there but a bit of a nightmare having to get there and go to the new house and get back before curfew.  Not going to be helped by plenty of snow where were going.  
Bins out, and were pretty full
Bed made, windows open but won't be for long as it's still well below freezing
A few leftovers in the fridge will be turned into a picnic for on route and I had better take something I can cook when we get there as it will limit on curfew and no delivery services where we live.
