Hello all
WELCOME BACK HONEY BEARand well done on the sorting.
Pleased you're sorted too ASB. Just in time for half term and I'm in charge and Villa Valli is vile so there WILL be lists.
Dancemum hugs... house clearing is hard.
ive managed to log back in on the iPad.
Still got online work to mark and I'm trying to tidy it up a bit, too.
Anyway Dw & WM have been deployed. Had washing on the line yesterday which dried beautifully.
Well done on the savings PiggersDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Morning xx
I really ought to do something. I've been up for two hours and I'm still sat in my nightie. I've made my bed and supped my first brew. I can't help it - it's hibernation weather for Rounds
YL - no guilt please. You needed new glasses, You wear them on your face. You need to like what you are wearing on your face. Well done. Now - who else needs a kick up the jacksy to make an appointment for a long overdue eye test...no good hiding I will sniff you out and nag, nag, nag, until you surrender. I am on a crusade! A RL friend of mine was 'persuaded' to have a long overdue eye test this week - to find that she has the beginning of glaucoma in one eye (amongst other things). She wishes that she hadn't gone ...I'm relieved that she did. Ignorance is not bliss if it makes you blind.
Puts away soapbox.
Round 1 =
get dressed
feed the birds
put out the rubbish and recycling
That'll do for starters. Piggers - well done. You are also an inspiration. The way that you set a goal, whether it be financial or home decoration, and then put all your soul into achieving it amazes me. Respect xx
Right - clothes. On.
Have a good day. Stay safe.

So far this morning I have made myself a cuppa at silly o'clock, watched a glorious sunrise, caught up with news, emails and threads, heard DH moving about in his bedroom downstairs, showered and dressed, S&S'd the bathroom, heard DH moving about again, rage cleaned all through downstairs, taken down (but not thrown away) DH's birthday cards and put his birthday money safe, rescued the cream tea voucher that I gave him so that it doesn't disappear into the piles of stuff in his RoD aka mancave, dusted the LR, heard DH moving again, emptied the DW and put everything away, made another batch of yogurt, made my own porridge and coffee, told DH (who was again sitting on the edge of his bed, glued to his iPad) that it was by then already after 09:40 and he should have been up and making breakfast ages ago (you have a clock by your bed: just look at it, man!!!), FUPA his clean washing, thrown open his bedroom window to let out the stale air for 2 minutes while I FUPA, and taken myself and my breakfast out of his way. He is not ill today so it's about time he got back into a sensible routine. I absolutely hate it when the day doesn't start until mid-morning coffee time
And breathe.... Sorry about that, but I know that at least some of you will understand!
Good morning.
YL, you will look stunning and feel trendy/empowered/a million dollars/all of these in your new specs, so they are worth every penny. Once when I was bemoaning the cost of my new specs with a friend who has worn them all her life, she simply said, "I look on mine as a necessity for health, not a fashion accessory, and a few pounds a week is a small price to pay for good health." Of course good health includes good mental health, so you should enjoy yours and stop feeling guilty!
Off to make myself another cup of coffee, then back to ancestral anticsI *will* get these papers sorted (though maybe not all today!)

Round.. apparently it is an 'unhealthy obsessive pyschological disorder'.. I think it shows determination and focus but someone always has to have a negative spin. I'm actually rather proud of myself.. I do thank the 2 contributors too, their help was invaluable (one was a Flylady and has my eternal gratitude)
YL.. I agree re the glassess.. they are the first thing people see of you, they are on your face. They have to make you feel good about yourself. I told my children they could have whatever pair of frames they wanted because they had to wear them. They have cost way more than I could afford a couple of times but that had to be done. My stepdad pays over £400 for his too despite being retired and getting the test free and a bit towards lenses. OH paid £200+ for his last pair and Dots prescrition is high so she too is going to have to save for laser surgery or expensive glasses.. it is what it is... and you are not allowed guilt.. if you needed other aids such as hearing aids or walking aids you wouldn't think twice.. glasses are just the same!
I have loasd of laundry to get through today.. and numerous DW runs.. I must pay the girls music and a bit towards the holiday..

Thanks all for the kind words about the glasses, I have given myself a talking to and realised it actually works out at about £22 a month which is no big deal. Pigpen if mine had to wear glasses I would have moved mountains to get them a pair they liked. I shudder when I remember the NHS glasses kids had to wear years ago if your parents couldnt afford anything else.
And Round you made me giggle, we can give you the official Flylady family role of nagging us to get important stuff sorted, we need to think of a job title for you xx
Up early, clearly NDN was paying close attention to lockdown rules with several friends around last night, they were still making a racket at 4am Hope this doesnt become a regular habit.
So I have sorted some laundry and given the kitchen a good scrub. I want to wash the floors but will wait until DS is in from work. He had to work through his lunch yesterday to get water to all the horses whose water pots had frozen in their stalls, and I think they might have the same problem again today. He will likely be tired and grumpy when he gets in.

Hello all. I agree with Ionafan that the sunrise was beautiful today.
I am focusing today on stick weaving a blanket for my grand child due in May having given up trying to knit one. However, I have been out for essentials from the farm shop, walked the dogs and done dailies.Spend less now, work less later.8 -

YL, no nagging from this sofa (leaving that to the lovely official nagger 😉) but well done and you will and should feel and look fabuloso x
Well done, Piggers. To quote Round, respect x Loving the potential names...
Long drive to big city done for DD’s covid test, long drive back. Thank goodness for lockdown traffic or it would have taken most of the day. We are now all confined to barracks until next Tuesday. No change there except that Saturday is DD’s “escape” day, to her job. I’m not quite sure which one of us is currently at the front of the queue to throttle DH who is being exceptionally annoying...
Wm run, dinner in the sc, HHI done, fridge sorted, fruit bowl filled (another job that it appears only I can do??), going to wultd when I have posted here. DD wants to bake a cake so I will give her space in the kitchen for the afternoon. I need to get some seeds planted but the temperature is still -3 outside and that’s without the wind chill.

Pigpen Naggy Nora
Fayolle everyone is annoying me here today, even the dog who keeps licking his paws loudly. I am bored and grumpy.
Got down on hands and knees and washed kitchen and utility floors, oh my days the colour of the water. I do usually mop it a couple of times a week but it was filthy.
I might go for a walk before I murder someone.11
