It’s red kites and buzzards in abundance round here, Kaz.
YL, if we didn’t live at opposite ends of the country, we could have a sd walk and plot our revenges...
Jobs done, also s&s bathrooms and topped up the dried goods jars from half opened packets. Went into the gh, decided that as the water butts are all frozen, then it must be too cold for me to be out there too! Currently flicking through gardening books. DD is making cake.9 -
Did some of the stick weave blanket then had a request to knit button bands for COVID test centre staff so I've done one so far. Took a break to walk the dogs and just having a cuppa to warm up again before knitting more.Spend less now, work less later.11

Walked Rosie and froze. I should have been warmer if I'd put on my over-trousers, but there comes a point where too many layers of clothes make walking impossible - like Michelin woman! But I went out with a raging headache and came back with a lot less, so that is a bonus.
I have spoken to my Greek friend and managed to get away with only half an hour on the phone.
One more ancestor has been filed away with his wife, and his sister is nearly ready to go into the next section, but information about his brother is still quite elusive and I want to find out more about him because he took care of his oldest nephew, my 3xgt-grandfather, and left him a bit of money (all of which my 2xgt-grandfather squandered on wine, women and song to the point of bankruptcy).
DH is watching the rugby, of course. He will be happy if Wales beat Scotland - if they don't, he won't.9 -
Found DD's certificates. She had helpfully filed them in the A4 folder books I bought for swimming certificates etc. They are now all back together, in the filing cabinet under Certificates Q (qualifications) the other one is birth certificates etc. While they remain in my house they shall be subject to my filing system. While she is in a shared house they are probably safer here anyway. What I will do, though, is get photocopies of them then she can keep them with her.
I have also repurposed the last chunk of panetone into bread and butter pudding and TA DAH cleaned the kitchen. Which was minging.
Bathroom next...so Monday and Tuesday will be interesting...

Oh Fayolle wouldnt that be the best thing being able to meet up in real life! Mind you I always resisted the real life Flylady meets because I like the idea of being able to pour out my heart on here and no-one actually knowing who I am!
I went for a walk. DH came too. We managed 1/2 an hour, and it felt like an arctic expedition. Met Office says it feels like -7 out and I can believe it.
Round are you OK being Naggy Nora my love? Its sort of been unofficially decided so I dont think you have any choice. Our lives are in your hands.
We concocted a stir fry for tea with odd bits out of the fridge. DS has opened a bottle of wine and poured me a very large glass, we have crisps and Christmas chocolate. I have a new book. All is well here.9 -
Evening all
House all clean and tidy, errands run, quick arctic walk this afternoon then I decluttered a snooze. We treated ourselves to a takeaway for supper, now I have a glass of wine and some choc and I’m going to curl up on the sofa.
catch you all tomorrow x8 -
Ok - sleeves rolled up....Naggy Nora is on a mission.
Right you lovely ladies.
1. When was your last eye test? If it's overdue - book one.
2. When was your last cervical smear? If it's overdue - book one as soon as they are on offer again. (Not sure what is and what is not currently available due to covid situation)
3. If you are of a certain age - when was your last mammogram? If it's overdue...you know what I'm going to say.
4. Ditto if you are eligible for bowel screening.
5. I'll let you off the dental check up as I think dentists are only offering emergency treatment at the moment - but make a note that it needs to be done - and when the reminder comes: make that appointment. No shilly-shallying.
6. Problems with your hearing? Or overdue a hearing test. What are you waiting for? Get it booked.
Any other niggling health problems? Speak to the pharmacist, the Practice Nurse, the GP. Get those niggles annihilated
You have unleashed a monster. Mwahahahaaaaa

Right you lovely ladies.
1. When was your last eye test? If it's overdue - book one... No idea, 2017 i think, could have been more recent.. but I don't need glasses really yet anyway so it's all good, for now.
2. When was your last cervical smear? If it's overdue - book one as soon as they are on offer again. (Not sure what is and what is not currently available due to covid situation) .. recent enough that I'm not due yet.. but about 18 months ago I think
3. If you are of a certain age - when was your last mammogram? If it's overdue...you know what I'm going to say. I'm not that old yet
4. Ditto if you are eligible for bowel screening. .. ditto
5. I'll let you off the dental check up as I think dentists are only offering emergency treatment at the moment - but make a note that it needs to be done - and when the reminder comes: make that appointment. No shilly-shallying. .. nope.. they are back doing check ups.. I went last Monday and the girls and OH are there on Tuesday this week. I need to book Moomin in while I am on it though.6. Problems with your hearing? Or overdue a hearing test. What are you waiting for? Get it booked. .. I have some hearing loss but can not get an appointment with the GP for a proper hearing test referral which once that is sent is taking around 4 YEARS in our area... My GP is rubbish. Will that do? Am I off the hook for a bit?AND... you missed off.. blood tests!! Those who haven't had them checked in a while and having symptoms of stuff.. or a long term illness/issue which hasn't been checked in a while..
