I think you need to re-read first 12 steps in the first post of the Template Defence announcement thread.
That already tells all newbies about the difference between the N180 copy sent to you by the solicitors, and the copy you will get from the CCBC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello All, I would like to report a success story. Having submitted my N180, I then received the court ordering my case to down the small claims track and asked me to respond by 14th December, providing evidence to present. dcbl then contacted me via email to offer a final settlement of £150, to which I did not reply. This morning, several days later, I have received an email from dcbl saying that their client had instructed them to discontinue court proceedings and have attached a signed N279 discontinuance notice, which they have also filed with the court.
Thank you for everyone's help, especially coupon-mad, Umkomaas etc. It was worth the fight.5 -
👏 congrats. They won't get a penny from any of us if we all use our advice given here but these great people. Another one bites the dust!2

ANOTHER DISCONTINUANCE!ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?
Looks unlikely to be published before Xmas, but keep your eyes peeled in early 2023.
We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA gaslighting of people.
Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?
Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:
If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.
Then join us when the Consultation opens.
Sorry if you knew all this already - I had no time to check back through the thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
