Meditating about water
After water being the subject of a few posts, I thought I would meditate and contemplate on it's significance.
Of course you can Google water and get a lot of information about it.... from its chemical structure.... to its spiritual meaning..... and of course to say that it is the essence of life that we cannot do without.
So I contemplated what it meant to me in other respects. And why I had the issue with the water and the toilet cistern!
Strangley., I saw that it was my home's cry for help! As I shed tears of anguish, frustration, hurt etc...... was my house trying to tell me something? Hmm.....
Well it was certainly an unexpected and un invited outburst, as the toilet wasn't flushing properly (symbolic of flushing away waste), So I had to investigate why..... and then I knocked the wrong thing and the water came flooding out at a great force (under pressure) ...... this is much like an emotional outburst and a reaction to extreme stress! Something that I have suffered over several years!
And because of my stress.... my home suffered ..... not being cared for or maintained properly, due to my stressed mindset!
So was it my home's way of fighting back?
Fortunately I managed to get the situation under control, with no damage other than a wet bathroom to clean up and me being drenched in freezing cold water!
But it wasn't the end of the world and I am grateful that I have water in abundance..... there are others in this world who don't have the luxury of clean water to drink.... or wash with...... there are those who have fresh water, but not in abundance, so they have to conserve it.... use it wisely etc.
So although there was much more to my meditation and contemplation about water, it left me with the conclusion that not only is it a precious commodity, that we cannot live without; but it is symbolic of our emotions.
It has the power to heal us or destroy us.... just as our thoughts and emotions do. We have learnt how to store it, confine it and have it on tap! To me the experience has taught me that I must learn more about controlling my thoughts and feelings.... learn how to use them wisely.... how to control the pressure and turn off the emotional tap at the stopcock!
But I've learnt that as water cleanses our environment. Our home's etc..... our tears may come in outbursts., or as small dripping leaks but they cleanse our thoughts and clear our minds, so that we can see our situations a lot clearer..... as water cleans the windows.... tears cleanse our souls.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Just a shout out to all you amazing women out there....... treat yourself today.... leave the clutter for another day! Use your time to celebrate how amazing you are...... how you have struggled in silence, wept in isolation, got up when life knocked you down.
Declutter your thoughts today.... let go of all the negative thinking...... all the hurt and guilt that you caught, even when it didn't belong to you...... declutter the stress, anxiety and feelings of being alone...... you are amazing, you will never be alone if you reach out to another..... you are strong....you are worthy.....you are uniquely you!
Have a great mind clearing day 💚
Happy International Women's Day 🍷🍾😇8 -
I'm making good progress but definitely getting de clutter fatigue so taking a break from next week.
Made £72 net from eBay selling which I was delighted with.
Collectables are being picked up by auctioneer tomorrow, free of charge as he lives locally. I had more than I thought and feel the auction house is a brilliant fit.
Last vacuum should be going tomorrow.
A bonus de clutter in the form of tiles which we found in shed upon moving in 15 & 1/2 years ago... One box went and this inspired me to advertise the other 4 boxes, fingers crossed.
I need to go through clothes and photo albums, organise giving away hanging baskets (which were still in shed btw) and a bag of stationery but they can all wait several weeks.
I got the last letter I need to make my council housing application, so will be doing that tomorrow. Only a few friends know and it's been hard keeping it from family and other friends, but want to know the application outcome before I tell everyone else.6 -
Hi everyone.... I'm afraid that I haven't posted all week as I am in hospital.
Too much decluttering and decorating has put my back out! But it must have been for a reason as an MRI scan has revealed potential serious problem! So if I'm missing here for days its because I'm zonked out on medication.
But keep up with the good work ladies and don't forget to support and praise each other..... it really counts!
I'm having a forced rest!5 -

Serendipitous BarbCh - if you hadn’t put your back out you wouldn’t have found out about a potential serious problem. Hopefully now that it has been discovered it can be rectified.

Thanks for your best wishes ladies..... Mrs SD you are right... I wouldn't have found out until it was possibly much worse and less manageable.
I do believe things happen for a reason.
I may be in hospital for a few weeks until a specialist surgeon from a liverpool hospital sees me. But during that time I will be having physio etc.
I certainly have lots of rest time and time to work solely on my mind clutter.....
1st think to discard is putting other people before myself!
This is the hardest because I am always considering others before myself! But now I am going to look after me 1st!
Its going to be more difficult to those around me though.... as they can't rely on me anymore.
I will keep checking in on this thread to see how you are all doing.....3 -
