@candygirl.... love this and I think we all need to adopt the sentiment!3

Candy....I love that. And I'm working on it. 😉3

Just finished 2nd chair reupholster... it was a bit of a struggle trying to get it out of what fabric I had left... so had to centre a different part of the pattern! But it looks ok.... I think!
@Frogletina. The pattern name was on the selvage and you may have recognised it as it's a Jeff Banks design called kabul... there are lots of other things in the design such as plates etc ..... so I'm quite pleased with myself that I kept the fabric! It was made by Moygashel (expensive in the day) about 25 years ago.
Don't know what it would have cost then or now if it's still available......so I'm pleased that I have ' 2 x designer chairs'
Not sure what the other 4 chairs will be like yet, but I think nowadays it's fashionable to have them all different! Well that's what I'll tell myself anyway!
I'm shattered now and have sliced a bit of my finger being careless with a rotary blade, cutting off the old leather cover..... then slipped with the staple gun and almost stapled my knees together Lol!
But happy that good job done and a bit of stuff used up!

Isn't it amazing how when the sun comes out....we feel a lot better!
The last few days for me have been frustrating.... my head says get on with sorting stuff out.... my body says, no it's too cold and my joints hurt!
But the bit of sunshine today, although still cold.... is recharging my batteries.I saw this picture and it resonates with how I often feel. Although I do get physically tired, I think I've been lacking some fun and enjoyment. Life has felt like a chore and I've been quite overwhelmed at all the stuff that I want and need to do to get my life on a track of where I want it to be.
There's not been much of a spark in the last year.... lockdown has also locked down my inner spirit!
I had so many plans this time last year and was looking forward to positive life changes.... then covid had a different idea!
I think that made me think that the things I wanted were now ended.... opportunity lost.... but now as the sun is out.... lockdown has an end date in sight..... I need to get my mindset unlocked from lack and limitations, and vibrating on abundance6 -
Oh my goodness how your post resonates with me today. It's just so true. I only thought to myself last week.....what I really need is an adrenaline boost, some fun, an adventure. I need a shot of something.!!!I am normally a creative person, always making and doing. During the first lockdown I completely revamped my kitchen painting all the units, took weeks but the finished result is truly fab, even if I do say so myself. This last lockdown I have done hardly anything - everything just seemed a chore, even things I normally enjoy. I felt like my spark and my joire de vie had been completely extinguished and it was if I had lost what made me "me" Iyswim. And of course being poorly this last couple of weeks was the final straw. I just felt completely wiped out and I hate to say it, but began to feel rather sorry for myself. 😂. Not like me at all. I am usually a very upbeat and positive person. Just one of life's eternal optimists.I agree totally with your post and can really empathise with what you are going through. This last Lockdown has locked down my spirit too. I went to Aldi yesterday and in the car on the way home I burst into tears......no reason. Just fatigue, and what I call the "Covid Blues", not real clinical depression.....just a combination of lockdown ennui, boredom, and frustration.Whilst learning to enjoy ones own company is good for our well-being, a year in isolation definitely isn't. It's just too much. Humans are sociable beings and we need stimulus and the company of others. Netflix is great but it's no substitute for real life.Luckily the weather is turning - even if it's only temporary - it's just so wonderful to see blue skies and sunshine and to not freeze half to death every time you step out the door.Keep going Barb......I'm sure once spring comes you'll get your mojo back. We all will. ❤️❤️7

That picture resonates with me too BARB 😊 There hasn't been much spark in me for a few months now, due to lockdown etc .
I'm usually quite happy in my own company, because I have good friends n family who I see a lot. This pandemic has put paid to a lot of that , so I'm feeling a bit stir crazy at the mo .
Anyway at least the Sun's out 😉
Ps this made me laugh yesterday 🤣"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
