No, because there are lots of victims and the complaint to the IPC had this poster as a lead complainant. The others are considering their options but are somewhat busy with their jobs, I'm sure.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Grant Shapps was talking on the programme with Piers Morgan this morning and saying that NHS staff should not be paying parking charges and that there must have been a breakdown in communication.
When I turned on the TV this conversation had already started so I did not hear all of it but it came over clear that NHS should not be charged for parking.

Personally, I believe that Hospital car parking should be more affordable. My son was charged £3 for just over an hour in Royal Berks recently.

Her insurance had to be for business travel, which was more expensive at her cost.I fought the notorious UKPC for her (and won) over a faded parking permit they said was not valid. She has now retired early as along with many other things to do with how they were treated she'd had enough, and they say they value NHS staff.

I agree. I don't think staff or patients should have to pay to park when using a hospital car park. For staff they are paying to work and for patients/visitors its not exactly somewhere they WANT to be. Its stressful enough they shouldn't have to pay out ££ for the joy. This case wasn't the trust car park. I already pay monthly for that!
My colleagues all messaged this morning about Good Morning Britain. I didn't see it.5 -
Any allowance not repaid could have been claimed through tax, as an FYI

It's bad for full time carers as well who only receive a small carer's allowance which is stopped after the patient has been in hospital for a certain time. Most carers are visiting the patient regularly and taking in food, drinks, toileteries and clean clothing, underwear etc. as well as petrol and parking expenses. The cost does not go down when the person being cared for is in hospital it goes up.
I find it very difficult to understand the mindset of the PPC's when it comes down to parking claims issued to people who are putting others before themselves and the most vulnerable.
I guess that the pandemic has bought out the best in some people but unfortunately the worst in others.

At the main hospital where my Wife worked they had self ticketing, so the trust employed an older chap for years, who checked the car parks and issued the PCN's as a lst resort. He would help you carry bags, he would advise you where not to park, wait for you if you were in a prohibited place and was a general good guy. They told him to stop being helpful and issue more PCN's, no doubt UKPC weren't getting their bunce.Well he told them to stick their job, fair play to him, along came the UKPC goons instead and up went their revenue. However a couple of years on they have realised their folly, and sacked UKPC at last.4

When she went out of area to visit patients in other NHS hospitals she had to pay that hospital's parking fees on top.
Surely she can claim them back, plus mileage.
