It is chucking it down, I have a minor (currently) flood near my new hedging, I am going to venture out there to see how serious it is, I am thinking I may have to dig a drainage channel out to the field to get the water to run off, as my digging of this week, has raised the levels slightlySold some old stuff out of the garden that was here when I moved in so £30, in the plant fund, just spent £8.97 on primroses to go beneath the hedge these are annuals for will last some years providing they don't get washed away.OH came with me to do a small shop, first time in about 6 months he reckons he has been shopping with me!Kitchen doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Oh Kaz where did you move to? Sounds rural. What type of hedge have you planted?
Outside light is up - need to see if the sensor turns it one ok later when it is dark.
Just had lunch, going to cut up a branch that we removed from the tree yesterday whilst he sun is out. It has lots of little buds on so I will pop some in a vase and see if they open up. U have some primroses, snowdrops, pansies and hellebores in flower. Let's hope they survive the snow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair7 -
Ouch, Jazee. Take care x
Downstairs cleaned, all toilets and basins s&s. Kitchen floor mopped wooty woot woot.
Mr M delivery due later - we don’t usually have a Saturday delivery (always take the cheapest slots available), but with life being unknown at the moment, today seemed the safest bet this time. So by my reckoning, that will make tomorrow a Wednesday 🤣. I need to meal plan, and to plan in freezer and cupboard stores. I keep fretting about one of the freezers packing up and they are both fairly full...I can worry about anything and everything.
Tempted to go and have a short time in the greenhouse while the sun is still out.10 -

early post tonight.. ot going to bed yet but thought if I post now it is one less thing to do ebfore I do go up given I have 3 loads of washing to put way before I can get in my bed.I picked up some gibble from Moomins room so OH can paint the ceiling.. it was far too wet to trot to the shed for painting supplies today so I shall sort it tomorrow when it will hopefully be less wet.It snowed very briefly this evening and the new neighbours who are new to the UK brought young teens who had clearly never seen snow before. Their absolute delight and joy made my eyes all leaky, that pure innocence even when they think they are all grown up.. it's so lovely to see. Anyway.. it's widdled with rain so Twinkle is going to be devastated in the morning that it has all gone, but she was not going out to play in it at 8:30pm!!
Got through 2 loads of washing and 2 runs of the DW and 1 of TD.. I even folded and took the dry stuff upstairs.OH cleaned the bathroom.. it was mostly clean but Hazel is still using it as a toilet so that needed doing.Sunday tomorrow I think.. so, ceiling and making a start on Moomins door is on OH's list.. and I get to do walls!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

Busy day yesterday, house cleaned top to bottom, few hours paid stuff done... don’t want to be working on the weekend but trying to keep on top of things while colleague on the sick. Had a nice walk in bright sunshine too.
Not sure of plan for today yet, cuppa and brekkie first and then decide.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today and not snowed in if you need to get anywhere.
I have been out of the house for the first time in seven days. A short dog walk. I am moving slowly and will try to get a few things done today. I also have paid stuff later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Jazee glad you are getting strongerIt is blowing a major hoolie here, local weather station about 1/2 mile away recorded so far 82.2mph gust, which may account why my swing seat was on its side, the snow it about 10 miles away according to local web cams.So OH and I have moved the swing seat nearer to the houseSC is on with casseroleRecycling bin is soaking as it is yukI am doing not a lot again! but OH is ironing his stuffBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all
No snow here, except for a few fine flakes being blown around in the wind. It's very cold. DS got in from work at 1.30am and was back in at 8am. He will probably come home and sleep for the rest of the day.
I was very bored and fidgety by the end of yesterday. I listened to the Battersea Poltergeist Radio 4 programmes (highly recommended), read my book, watched a bit of telly, did my finance spreadsheets and that was about it. Two loads of washing dried over the airers but that was the only flying.
Been worrying a bit about DH and his back, he went to a Chiropractor which helped, but as soon as he starts working again it flares up. The only blessing is that in the short term we can live on my wage if we really had to, although it would be difficult, but it's the longer term I worry about. He really needs a less physically demanding job.
Might do a roast dinner tonight, need to make a mealplan for the week. Have a good Sunday all x7
