@Fayolle I wish. No one came and I am tired of calling them and being fobbed off. Quickly typing this whilst at work. Be back when I can xx9

Bedroom, stairs, landing & LR vacuumed. It is still not picking up well so needs some more maintenance. 15 minutes banging on the side of the bin normally does it, but its raining now so a job for another day.
The dog has been walked (before the rain) and I have been to the shop (in the rain). Just having a cuppa & then I am going to make a bread pudding 😋 While it is cooking I *might* clean out the cupboard above the kettle....8 -
Hello my Lovlies
Very long time since I've been here. Fired up my old pc to do some finance stuff and it made me think of all of you. Actually I thought of you all last week whilst lying on the dining room floor doing pilates and realized just how dirty the table legs were, and how much better they were when I was flying. House is not too bad now the kids are adults but I may start popping in if that is ok so that I do some of the jobs I don't think too. I did wipe the table legs. Back to the finances for now but I'll take a look at the list tomorrow. Hope you are all doing well, especially those from many years ago, Dusty xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair11 -
Good to see you Dusty, I'm still here lurking. I can never think of anything to say but I'm always here!

Hello Dustykitten - lovely to see you
I still have your declutter and deep clean lists which inspired me to get on and do it!
asb, I'm so sorry to hear about the non-appearance of your internet engineer. I hope you can get across to them how much upset this is causing you, and they then respond promptly.
Thanks to all of you for your good wishes. I have been taking things very easy for the past 3 days. Yesterday I managed to take Rosie for a shortish walk along the rough lane and back along the metalled road, and today we carefully tackled some of the slopes in the Covert, so with the help of regular ibuprofen things are slowly getting back to normal. I've kept up with dailies and WM. I've dug out some more ancestors from the online records and dusted them off, and despite printing out more new pages, I'm gradually working my way through another small pile of papers, checking that all the info is on my computer family tree, and filing bits away.
We've also both arranged our Covid jabs: our GP surgery rang on Tuesday to offer me an appointment tomorrow morning; then yesterday we both received NHS letters so DH immediately booked his appointment for Monday at a not-quite-so-local museum. Of course, this morning he then received a phonecall from the surgery too, but he has kept his museum booking - I think he just wants to enjoy going there for free!
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx8 -
Dusty  hope you are all ok xGI, my 'helper' is worn out and now fast to sleep in the middle of the bed!All hedge is now planted, 9 saplings left over, so for now planted them in my new veg patch, until I know what / where I want to plant them or do with them. Now I just have to sit and wait for signs of life and about 5 years for it to be of any size. Left over compost / manure / sharp sand will be used up in my pots or on the veg patch.WM doneDinner doneBin out for early tomorrow collection.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hope today went OK Fayolle, its a strange feeling leaving a job after a long time, even though you know its the right thing to do.
Tired today but made myself go for a half hour walk at lunchtime, felt better for the fresh air. Kaz you painted a great picture, I am just relieved that you didnt manage to accidentally bury the cat! It will be very rewarding to watch it grow.
7 hours paid stuff done, chicken pie made for tea, DS wanted me to go with him for his jab (I stayed in the car of course), bit of dusting and tidying done. Early finish tomorrow so I will catch up with flying then. Feet up now.8 -
Work done. OK, so it wasn’t as bad as I was dreading. I was only told twice by my successor that they would have to change things, so I shrugged and said, “feel free, it’s all your’s” 🤣.Dry washing added to the ironing pile. WULTD. Bathrooms cleaned. Dinner now cooking. Mr M slot bagged for Saturday evening - the planned small shop seems to have grown out of control, so the trolley will need a cull before tomorrow night.Kaz - I had visions of your helper being trapped forever under the baby hedge...Waves to Dusty - I was a lurker back in the day, but your lists helped to inspire me, and to turn me into a fully fledged flylady.
Iona - glad to hear that you are on the mend x8 -
will somebody please remind me, on a regular basis, that baking in school is stupid... especially if you drop some of a child's cookies on the floor and have to spend your dinner time whipping up a replacement batch so he will never know.
Kids bedroom tomorrow IF I dont fall asleep before I get the list up.
And ANOTHER great niece/nephew is en route. Due August...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
