Hi all
DS woke me up at 2.30am saying that he felt really ill. I think he was panicking a little, completely understandable, but the Covid jab had clearly made him feel fluey. I got him some paracetamol and he went back to sleep, he has gone to work still feeling rubbish.
Tired now, paid stuff done, 1 load of washing over the airer, hoovered downstairs. Burger and chips for tea (veggie for me).
I might have a little power nap.9 -
Dusty - it was just before you left the thread.
Not done much today and 0 flying apart from emptying DW.

Thank you Honey Bear10 -
I haven't really done a lot of flying but the WM has a new drum filter thing(??). I have been at work today .I had a message from colleague about an email that I accidentally deleted, but found, thankfully about the vaccine, getting my first one on Sunday. Felt like a bit of a cheat (other half joked about it as he is over 60, and not heard anything), but I would be silly to turn it down, Yes? (Getting it as I do intimate care with a pupil).

Morning xx
I never did complete Round 1 yesterday. I was antsy about the impending optician's appointment and couldn't motivate myself. However I did fill my car with petrol and attend the appointment as arranged. And ...I have to go back on Monday for another eye examination with dilated pupils - which he couldn't do yesterday as I was driving. He thinks I have a posterior vitreous detachment in my right eye (which explains the weird symptoms that I had on Monday) and there is also something going on in my left eye - which was a total surprise / shock as that eye hasn't given me any bother at all. Nothing to worry about - yeah right tell that to the worry monkeys in my head!!! - but if I get flashing lights I have to straight to A&E to see the eye specialist as it may be that the vitreous is detaching from my retina too. I do need new glasses but the optician wants to test my eyes again in six weeks in case my prescription changes again as my eyes settle down.
So I'm waiting for a phone call to tell me what time on Monday; and I've arranged a lift with a friend to get me there and back. And six weeks time is my week off on Annual Leave so that works nicely....but I couldn't make the appointment because their diary wasn't open that far ahead. Is nothing ever simple and straighforward anymore?
In other news, K, who I have been training to help cover as A left yesterday, has gone off sick with stress. It wasn't me, guv, honest! I'm not surprised - they just don't know when to stop pushing! So instead of being 1 down we are now 2 down. I've scoured Dr G00gle to see if I can find an excuse to take time off linked to this eye problem but it seems to be a carry on as normal jobby - just no high impact exercise. Oh that's a shame....rofl.
Sorry to ramble on but it helps to get my thoughts straight. Flying? I'm up, my bed is made, the windows are open upstairs, I've brought down the laundry hamper and I've supped my brew.
Hopefully I'll get the phone call early then I can stop waiting for it but I'll plod on in the meantime:

Morning all,
No JoJo hasnt been on for ages has she? Hope she is OK.
DS is away with work, the vaccine symptoms seemed to be easing off when I spoke to him last night. Trying not to fret about him.
Out of bed, HIIT class done, showered and dressed. Think we will have a brunch when DH surfaces. His back is bothering him again which is another thing to worry about!
Round my brother has problems with his eyes which sound like yours, I love you G00gling to find out if you could take time off work, that would be me too!
No idea what the rest of today brings, its cold, damp, dark and windy. I need to do finance spreadsheets and DHs January month end. Feeling quite lazy actually.9 -
Morning all
Beautiful blue skies and a thick frost here. 2 cars defrosted and scraped so that I could car juggle and let DD drive her car to work. Did a reverse juggle on my return. Ironing mountain scaled and defeated. Clean washing sorted. Store cupboard shopping from last week finally put away - well, moved from DR to utility room anyway. The plan to catch up on flying today (yes, I know that’s not the idea, I have slipped back to naughty ways...) has been thwarted by DH, who is yet again bashing plaster on the landing. Conveniently making a mess throughout the house. I am going to concentrate on downstairs and then just moan like crazy if when he walks dust through! I also have some admin stuff to do.
Round, take it easy xx Listen to the optician. A friend had the same thing, and the opticians know just what they are looking for x
Also, is Jazee ok?YL, maybe a lazy day is just what your body is ordering xBack later, I can hear lumps of plaster falling into the hallway... 😡
Hugs and spoons all round x10 -
Another v quick one from me, chap coming out on Tuesday apparently, forgive me for being pessimistic! Got local MP involved. Washing up to date, house fairly tidy, pouring with rain so an at home day. Love to all I can’t wait to catch up properly when I can xx9

Morning all
I've dusted the LR and wiped all the window frames in there, mould and window frames is a bit of an issue in our house.
SS kitchen and cloakroom sinks, emptied DW and washed up.
Need to organise a return for youngest to drop of next and sort a shopping list for later, going to see how many meals we can get out of the freezer over the coming week to use stuff up and then might defrost next weekend. Never defrosted the new FF since we got it in the autumn so need to see how that goes. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair9 -
Hello everyone. I'm totally lost as to what day it is..lol It doesn't help with Dave not working now at least when he worked I sort of knew what the days were now it's all jumbled up..😆 It probably didn't help we had our food delivery on a Friday instead of the normal Saturday..that threw me.😆 Even tv programmes don't help as we very rarely watch individual programmes, plus some of the channels don't have specific programmes on specific days they just have the same on every day..I have written three letters this morning while being up and one wash load but thats all. Think its time to get showered and dressed as it is 11.45..oops!!!!More packing later..ugh!Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Hello. I'm still here, have been reading along occasionally but absolutely no flying to report as I put my back out last Sunday night and haven't been able to do much including paid stuff since. The dogs are beginning to get annoyed that they haven't been out too. Beginning to ease a little now so I may be able to join in next week.
Today, DH popped out to get me a paper so I'm reading that. All doom and gloom, haha, and its pouring with rain. I missed the snow earlier i the week. It was a day when I couldn't move at all so DH took a photo of the garden for me.
Sorry for moaning!Spend less now, work less later.9
