Hiya x
No clue, on cat food, sorry but we get a huge bag of dog from M@@ at a good price, that lasts a while x
I have been in work to day but doe a wash and dry load and cooked dinner..... just the dishes to do , again!!
I wanted to ask.. My spare room is still RoD.....possibly worse than ever!! My plan is to put all clothes piled on bed into the wash, and then sort. I have on, and around the dresser a few gifts from family /friends/ children that come in nice tins. What do you do with the tins? I'm thinking of putting creams in one, bath/ shower wash in another etc. Or just get rid of tins and store them on the dresser?? Any ideas very welcome xx
Hugs to all xx9 -
- one load washing done
- Mr N vaccinated
- collected sheet metal so new hob can be installed (currently narrower than the hole in the granite worktop). Mr N emptied the under-hob cupboard to avoid getting dust everywhere (too late) so as a result I spent ages looking for various items when I came to cook dinner....
- had a good look round my home office as I aim to give it a mega sort out, make more room so the drums can go in there on the off chance we ever actually get a visitor again who wants to sleep in the spare room, plus I want a new carpet as current one is threadbare. Mr N and I did a lot of furniture and space measuring to see what we could rearrange. Agreed that college course folders which I don't want yet to part with but don't often consult, can go in a plastic box in the loft. Found plastic box full of MIL's things which need to go to the cs. Will transfer that to bags tomorrow.
- went for a long walk. Blimey it's wet.
- did drum practice
- answered a few emails.
Ionafan and Pigpen hope you both feel better soon.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -

tins are are easier to dust than bottles (assuming they have lids)
sort clothes before washing - no point washing what won't be worn/kept
off to work. Baking day but only 9 children in.

Morning, just a quick wave on my way out to work. Out until late tonight at work and I have checked I have the appropriate authorisations to be out after 6pm.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Easy dinner sorted for tonight
Lunches packed up
On the story of cat food, my 2 have dried food only from the vet, I order online and pick it up. We changed to this as one is diabetic and this helps stabilize him, cost 30 euros a month for the 2 of them, they don't get anything else and they have access to it all the time, a dispenser we top up every few days, and of course water. When we changed brand they sulked for a few days but then got over it.
Sticks, spoons & hugs, don't forget those SMILES9 -
Morning all
Iona take care of yourself, that sounds painful.
It feels like its been 3 long days at work, have checked my timesheet and I have done 24 hours, it feels like more than that. Still if I can get 6 hours in today that leaves 5 to do tomorrow.
Bit headachey, was wide awake in the middle of the night, but I feel quite positive about stuff at the moment. I was pleased with how I got on with my meeting last night and how I managed to speak up for myself.
DS goes for his jab today, chicken pie to make for tea, house is reasonably clean and tidy but I will do some flying later.
Have a good Wednesday everyone, the birds are singing and its quite light already here x8 -
Morning all,
Just to say this right up front - you lovely ladies are the most amazing and supportive Friends Whom I Have Never Met ❤️ I’m looking right at you, Round 😘.
So this morning I have swapped my jeans for smart trousers, straightened my hair, and I’m off shortly to start the job of handing over my job (and tidying 7 years of “useful” stuff from my desk - my work RoD, if you will 😉).
Bed stripped and wm on. I will remake the bed when I get back so that it has had time to air.Tooch - Valli is right that it is easier to keep tins etc clean. I would say keep them, and then if you haven’t filled / sorted / decided in say a couple of months, then throw them. I recycled a whole bag load at Christmas, as I had kept the tins “in case” and in fact found other homes for the bits, keeping the sides clear to boot x
I hope poorlies feel better soon, Iona and Piggers x
Dancemum - are you ok? X
ASB - please say that you’ve been fixed. We miss you here x
Hugs all round. I will be back later xx8 -
Tooch, personally I forget what is in which tin, I gave a load of larger tins to a local lady that bakes for the cakes etc, I sold some smaller ones at a car boot last year for about £2, the rest went in the recycling bin!re clothes I would also sort before washing, the heap that you don't want offer to the homeless / charity collection bin / or a food bank, they will know who can make use of them, the wash / iron / hang the stuff you want to keep good luck with it all.Fayolle good luck with your desk sorting.Hedging plantings is going ok, just over half way, it has taken me about 2 hours so far, the soil is very wet = very heavy = I am unfit, so I dig a trench of about 5m, /40 cms down, remove cat who is now wandering up / down the trench, put in the compost / manure (smell lovely!) remove cat again who is now rolling upside down in the compost, plant sapling, put back top soil, measure across 30cms plant next one, remove cat from playing with the saplings, repeat several times over and over.DSS(2) has his military passing out parade today, so we have a link, the count down is on, I'm so excited, just a very big shame we cannot be there, but that's life.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

We have a local food bank, I will see if they take clothes (I always forget the bags that get posted through the door!)
2nd load of washing on and done a food shop x
Want to do some ironing, have a look at online work, and do some of my course.
Iona and Pigpen, hope you feel better soon xx

Good morning!
Kaz your description of hedge planting (and the 'help' you are getting!) made me smile
I slept in late. WM has just finished, so I put that in the TD and then put on a hot wash with some towels, etc. Bank accounts have been checked, and I have updated a money spreadsheet - clearing my debts is in sight! Then I will have to concentrate on DH's (which is much more complicated!) I have crossed 1 small item off my admin to do list. I am feeling the urge to get rid of something, or sort out a cupboard. I also need to finish vacuuming the bedroom as I think the filter is now dry.
I will report back later, hopefully having made some progress in something!!
Have a good day all8 -
Morning ladies, I've finally decluttered my desk and sorted out my crafting stuff so its all put away, completely off list this week, just getting stuff done as and when, got OH's check-up with Dr this afternoon.
Toochoosey, i bought some of those multi clip hangers for skirts, i have 16 skirts in the space of 4 hangers, definitely worth the money you can get multi hooks cheaper and they do the same thing with existing hangers like these probably cheaper on eb@y. There is a clothing bin at our local Supermarket recycling, maybe check there too.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:11
