Hi all
Tired now, up at 6.30am, half hour exercise class and 45 minute walk done, hoovered downstairs and dusted, chicken casserole made for tea, teatowels boil washed and hung out. Need to have a final tidy of kitchen, and sort some leftover casserole for DS for his lunch. In the office tomorrow, will be a long day.
Going to do a little yoga and put PJs on.9 -
Thanks Valli for the thread x
How did school go Pigpen? Hope she was ok xx
I have been to school, popped to the shop, forgot butter!! oops. Was freezing in school today... something wrong with gas and the boiler had to be turned off. That with windows and doors open...= cold!!!
Had a 5.00 briefing from DD's Head regarding this years assessments...(online)
I've done dishes.. and cleaned up dogs mess. Oh, some drying done too....
Not in school tomorrow but DD needs to pick up GCSE cert from school in the morning, and I need to take Mum for her vaccine in the afternoon. Hoping to catch up in between, with the flying xx
Well done to those keeping it up and hugs, spoons and sticks to those in need xx

Well done kazwookie
(((Hugs))) and extra spoons for BadCat and Fayolle every day this week xx xx
Today I have
- given Rosie her preventative flea and worming treatment
- checked finances and they're OK
- hoovered all through downstairs and emptied bins
- done WMx1, partially dried both sheets in the TD, then hung them on the bathroom radiator, and I've just FUPA
- slightly changed the temperatures on the heating programmer: it was getting very chilly around lunchtime and far too hot in the evenings, but seems better tonight
- taken Rosie for her walk; she avoided two enormous Leonbergers (think St Bernard crossed with Newfoundland - gentle giants) but had a whale of a time playing with a 14wo labrador puppy
- made 4 longish phonecalls
- spent an hour or two trying to get an old laptop working: partial success, so I'll go back to it tomorrow
- found out a bit more about some of my ancestors and their other descendants; also started a grand sort out of my computer files, alongside the paper files
- cooked a good veggie curry for tea with lots of leftovers (I need to go shopping for F&V tomorrow)
- watched TV quiz shows and LLF this evening
Various bits are carried over to tomorrow.
Hope round coped OK with Monday working xx
I should like to sleep all night, please - getting tired of WAC for a couple of hours every night now!8 -
More hugs for Fayolle and well done Kazwookie.
- Not on today's list, but I actually went for a run yesterday, the first proper one since before Cmas. Determined to get back to where I was with running last year, but not very good in rain/ice/wind etc.
- Did a bit in the kitchen today, can't do a lot as the new hob is waiting for Mr N to get some sheet metal in so he can fit it - usual story of new device = metric; previous device = imperial. He's ordered some form W1ckes which we can pick up when he has his jab on Wednesday. atm hob is on one worktop, drawer which goes below hob is on another worktop.
- Did most of my course which will hopefully give me the confidence to do the new(ish) remote assessments.
- Posted some letters and went for a walk
- put the Bird Watch data on the RSPB site
- helped Mr N do an MSE credit check after he and BIL were inexplicably turned down for opening an executor bank a/c for their mum's estate. Why? Inane bank people were quite stroppy and patronising, first blaming IT then accusing Mr N of having something on his history.....nope, 999/999 and BIL was 993/999 so don't think that's the problem. It's not like we're shifting around huge amounts of money - just that some of it is coming from Canada and they need it to go to an executor's a/c. I miss my late friend often and for many reasons, but especially at times like this as she was manager of the inept bank in question and didn't allow any nonsense from jobsworths.
- did some drum practice then moved drums out of the way as new radiators are going in tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Hello all
Should have been a day in school for me but we have a snow day. Bonus.
I set off though, but stopped two villages away (but stopped in a village before the one I work in as the roads were awful. So back I came. Catch up day then. But lappy acting up (mouse pad) so off to get air duster.

Blimey Valli, sound like you have loads of snow, just wet and drizzly here.Ironing is done and awayFreezer sorted out, looks so tidy now and I have more room for food if needed.Eby money has reached its target, I am buying (no laughing please) a hedge!
it is beech and will need planting, I ordered it on Sunday online, said at least 4 weeks delivery time owing to cv / staff shortage etc, however it seems it is going to be delivered tomorrow, so I thought I had time to do the prep work, I now need to pull my finger out to prep the soil for 20 meters of hedging, however I need it to stop raining, I need to dig at least 70 holes to 40 cms deep, fill each one with compost sharp sand coarse grit mixture which I need to make, I have a feeling all this is going to take me about 3 days subject to weather, first go and buy the compost etc, then find the spade, wellies, etc.............

Good afternoon!
I am ahead of the week as far as the LR is concerned, but behind on everything else! The carpet was professionally cleaned, which included moving furniture. Everything is being dusted before things are put back, and woodwork is being wiped. I am hoping that some of the 'stuff' in DH's 'area' is going to get removed rather than put back! I have left a pile on the bedso it will be an effort to put it back downstairs. We have so many CD's! Only DH's car takes CD's (he does listen to them), and indoors we tend to use online streaming via 'she who can't be named'. I would like to get rid of at least some, but I am met with a lot of resistance. I suppose I am not that much into music, so it's easy for me. I may just sort mine out, but I don't have as many!!
Paid stuff today. We have been out with the dog and got a soaking jumping in puddles. The little man is now terrorising the cat with a toy and shouting 'cat' loudly. Hopefully the cat will nap soon.
I made soup yesterday, but my soup maker didn't get hot, so I may have to get rid. It still works as a blender though. It is too thick (I added too much potato) so it's one lump or two!I will do some fluttering in the kitchen while I do some lunch, and I need to rescue the cat! He won't be as lively tomorrow as he is having the snip!
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them, especially Fayolle and Badcat. Have a good day everyone!8 -
ARGH!!!!.... ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH AAAARRRGGGHHHHH.....There.. I'm done...Squeaks music lesson.. the class teacher had deleted the link off her google classroom so she was late for that and had to reschedule.Dots Music lesson.. we had been sent 2 links.. one worked but the teacher did not admit her to the video.. the second did not work.. so I emailed and she sent another link which didn't work.. so she sent a 4th link for a lesson a bit later but it took 20 minutes to get through because I was at a hospital appointment with Moomin. So goodness knows what is happening there.. I am checking emails next.Moomins appointment was moved to a different place so we were late.. they them kept us waiting for 50 minutes.. outcome is.. we need 1 more appointment for indepth xrays, then she can have the surgery but that will be.. whenever.. and she needs looking after for 3-6 months after etc.. physio etc.. All which could have been avoided had cf not stopped her doing her GH injections..I might get to eat today.. 3 jam tarts, 1 apple and a fibre one bar are not very filling!OH needs to bobble to the shop.. ooh.. I will parcel the 3 ebeasty items and he can do those too.The rest of the week, fit in between trying to do video calls/lessons/music/food I am aiming to get Moomins room decorated for when she gets home, she's staying at her bf for a few days.. I can paint 3 walls and a ceiling and get a carpet down I am certain. And she has left it a bear pit so I need to box up all the detritus strewn about.Cuppa.. then I need to sort the WMs, DW and TD.. and maybe an airer shuffle once DS1 surfaces.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7

Just back in from a full day out at work, first since end of November. House tidy as no one has been in, not sure much flying will get done but I'm at home tomorrow morning with a list of phone calls to make and admin tasks to do. Dinner tonight has been sorted and is easy. Just making a cup of tea, I didn't drink anything all day at work today and am suffering for it now. Must remember to drink on Thursday when I go again.
Bed made, clothes picked up (before I went out this morning)
