Vaccination queue jumping.

Plenty of people I know are being invited by phonecalls from their local surgeries - my eldery parents did get a government letter but after visiting the website realised all the suggested vaccination centres were too far away - a few days later they got a call from their GP practice giving them a local venue to go to.swingaloo2 said:Thank you both. Ive not looked as he obviously didnt try to book having seen the instruction and Im in the next group after the current one.
I do hope you have to show the letter, the person in question that said he had booked said that the instructions tell you to bring I.D and you booking number, no mention of a letter.

For covid to stop spreading we need people vaccinated. Does it really make much difference if someone gets their jab a week or two early?3

I thought we were a country that didn't like cheaters or people that manipulate the system to give themselves an advantage at the expense of others.....0

We don't. Unfortunately it's a human trait that cannot be eradicated though.parcival said:I thought we were a country that didn't like cheaters or people that manipulate the system to give themselves an advantage at the expense of others.....0 -
I know of a 32 year old who was asked quite rudely by the Nurse why he was there getting the jab. Because he has serious health problems!0

That's not what the website saysBrowntoa said:You need to now turn up with ID and your letter on the day
"You will need to bring:
- your booking reference numbers
- a face covering, unless you cannot wear one for a health or disability reason"

It's rather telling that we have this thread where an individual is concerned about a.n.other apparently queue jumping on the same day that we have another thread with an individual concerned about being called early.

Proof that there are glitches in the system and we should all just get "jabbed" when the invite comes.

NHS booking site is open for anyone registered at a GP surgery in England and aged over 70 to now book their appointment. Anyone else in England can only book if they have a letter.
it is quite possible that people over 70 are booking without letters and this is legitimate.if you don’t want to book yourself, possibly because the mass vaccine sites are not near you any there are no local pharmacy appointments available, you can wait for your GP to book you in at a surgery (may not be your own) or a GP appointment clinic near you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
