  • And another NR rejection email for me tonight as well. 

    If NR and BGE aren't able/willing to help to proactively resolve the problems, do we know what body/group acts as this central hub and is the one sending these rejections and how do we complain to them....

    Ditto for me last night.  On chat with NR this morning the agent was told by the relevant dept (presumably internal but not clear) that my switch date should be 10 working days after the last switch date that was rejected (12 March) so they've reapplied with a switch date of 26th March...so even longer on BGEs high tariff
  • If they've moved the switch date forward, do you know if they'd still resubmit the request to "industry" today and you'll know before the morning if it's been rejected or not?

    Assuming that does fix it, sounds like that will be my next approach as well.

    They implied that they were reapplying yesterday but with the new switch date, but not totally sure.  They amended the DD again and that is normally an indicator.  It's showing as 26 March start date on my account on the app, although the switching time line hasn't updated to reflect new date

     No rejection last night anyway.  

    Maybe you should go on chat and discuss the same approach with them.
  • As suggested, they resubmitted my request with the 15th March and no subsequent rejection email.

    So I appear to be on course to move away after all, later than I would have liked. 

    Does anybody know how BGE will debit us, as their online portal is suggesting that no DD exists...

  • I still don’t even have an account with bge! I’m a new Tennant at the property whilst the move to bge was happening, I want to switch but need to wait until my account is set up but I’ve no idea what’s going on and when that will be. There will be no DD set up yet either so I’m going to end up paying for a couple of months on a shocking tariff in one go I’d imagine!

    Nothing has been set up with my bank from BGE or even against British Gas. 
    Similar to the last post, I fear that when the get their act together I'll actually have switched out and will have a "surprise" payment request appear at some point in the future. Although would be nice if them billing me slipped between the cracks - but I very much doubt it.

    I got an email requesting a meter read from NR on 26th. I haven't been able to submit my readings in my account yet as, apparently, they haven't acquired the meter asset details yet but at least it looks as if the switch is actually happening now at last! Hopefully Shedman and I will get our referral bonuses too. Good luck to everyone else.

    My gas switch to So Energy is supposed to complete tomorrow but, unlike other providers, there's no "Sorry to see you go" type message on my BGE account or any communication from them that I'm switching away.  Has anybody else switched / in course of switching and has had any indication from BGE regarding their switch?
