Wednesday 17th February 2021
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day (reminder - participation in the mini challenges is optional so don't add to your problems if already feeling overwhelmed. Read it , have a giggle, be kind to yourself). However with so many people feeling the strain of lockdown, anything you can do to spread a little joy and cheer, will help.
RAK suggestions (I've tried to cut out the ones we can't do)
Give a flower
Listen with your heart
Pick up litter
Call a friend/ someone sick/ lonely person
Open a door
Plant a tree
Give blood
Thank a teacher
Read to a child
Leave a thank you note
Be tolerant
Give a compliment
Celebrate the day
Respect others
Forgive mistakes
Drive courteously
Share a smile (even with a mask on, your eyes will crinkle up - people know you're smiling)
Kindness is a wonderful way to let another struggling soul know that there is still love in the world.
When killing them with kindness doesn't work, try a hockey stick. Results may vary.
Be happy. It drives people crazy.

Hugs to Dr Carrie and anyone else who needs one. Sorry for lack of check ins, my eyes are still tired and aching and I'm trying to cut back on screen time (will make that optician's appointment).

It’s a gloriously sunny day in Madrid.
Sending turtle hugs to everyone who needs one
I am on NSD 7…. today might be 8 but used all the milk for pancakes yesterday so may have to make a trip to shop... bf was moaning about lack of bread - he shouldn't have eaten 5 slices yesterday then should he. When it's gone, it's gone. Wanted to make home made but need yeast.
Have done no exercise or meditation. Have read a lot of my book and kept in touch with fam.
grateful for sunshine and for old threads on here providing me with motivation - I am re-reading Frugaldom’s mortgage free challenge currently!

NSD 9/15, 1500ml water, leftovers for lunch as well as tonight's dinner, and an hour-long walk today!
The TV seller has replied asking us for an engineer's report on cost of fixing the television. Don't think we could have an engineer come to the house at this time.
Grateful for a socially-distanced walk with my friend, good chat, and having time to listen to my audiobook.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -

The Boy has just picked Himself up to go for his jab. He really isn't very good at being in situations to which he's not used. I've explained the procedure in minute detail to him but he's obviously very nervous. I'll be glad when the two of them get back.
Not really done a lot today because I've been trying to calm him down and make sure he's OK. But we have some lovely pasta for tea when he gets back.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

Wednesday- annoyingly still on 10NSDs, "lost" today as I bought more milk- between pancakes and DD drinking mugs of the stuff at breakfast it disappeared fast. I should maybe give in and buy 2 containers at a time, but I'm sure if I do that, DD will decide that she is only drinking fruit juice and it will never get used up before going bad. But as I managed to ONLY buy milk the budget is surviving.
For anyone who cares- Crunchie spread tastes almost exactly as you would imagine- on pancakes with sliced banana it was amazing.
Managed to get lots of steps done, and the pony has finished his winter holiday- the ice/snow is disappearing so he had his first schooling session of the year today and we both need a "get fit" program over the next couple of months.
Grateful today- for dog walks, and pony time in the dry, for DD happily crafting while I pottered and getting sorted with a new bank account for DD (chasing interest rates).7 -
