Gratitude
Some people could be given an entire field of roses and only see the thorns. Others could be given a single weed and only see the wildflower in it. Perception is a key component to gratitude and gratitude is key component to joy. Amy Weatherly
Express gratitude for
1) something you like about yourself
2) a challenge you've overcome
3) something you created
4) something you often take for granted
5) something beautiful you saw today
6) someone who inspires you
7) something you use everyday

Yesterday wasn't a NSD - I was at work briefly in the morning so went into A1d1 on my way home - was super quiet and I got the bits I wanted and needed
Grateful for an afternoon nap, catch up tv, easy food, a quick catch up at work (I so miss seeing different people!)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
So went and got fitted for new glasses for screen and reading and I can't wait to get them. The last time I got new reading glasses was 6 years ago the man told me and because you get two pairs of frames at this high street establishment - I got a new pair of driving glasses, as the pair I have left are of a similar age.
So am looking forwards to looking smart after half term - on the small screen.
I have also started a 177 miles running challenge and (or did I mention that already) so I will have to do average over 3 miles a day between now and March 31st. That will get me out and keep me busy, and it's free. In the last year I have now run off a total of 10 kg of weight so at least it is good for something.
And as I mentioned I got turned down for my masters studies funding - so I believe it is now time to do some volunteering. I might see if I can become a volunteer teacher/tutor at lower level math, just to help somebody through the education gap! I feel it is quite easy to get wrapped up in ones own projects spending so much time at home and not socialising much.
I am grateful for my weight loss, being accepted at the masters even if I can't do it, for my car passing MOT and for my ds2 cooking me dinner 2 days in a row. I think I will make him a nice big pizza later, before he's off to his warehouse job. Fingers crossed he might get a job as a kids holiday club coaching sports, which would be wonderful as that is linked to what he wants to do in the future.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Grateful as well that we could make more mortgage overpayments and that my bread came out well after a complete lack of practise with any type except sourdough. We had the venison come to us too, and crates of muddy beetroot and celeriac - the van before ours could not collect their whole allocation, so we got ours and what was left of their order as well. Our foodbank looks like a fruit and veg market stall! Last year it was Venison curry, so ragu is not quite as weird.I think everyone should be given a stick blender as well. Soup for lunch could be the new normal, but I don't think it is going to stop the queue right down the road for the drive-by McD's anytime soon. Sadly.Today will be NSD2, I need to make less than £3 now on p/a to hit my £10 target.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD No 4. Another really wet, windy and cold day.
Haven't had a lot of veg today but we are eating quite healthily. We had a chat earlier about what we are eating and we've decided we should have a look at our diet. It's not that it's bad but we're both feeling that our appetites are getting much smaller So we've decided on less red meat and "heavy" dishes and more fish with vegetables and pasta with tomato/vegetable type sauces. And smaller portions.
Ditty - Sorry about the funding but I think you're volunteering idea is wonderful. That could make such a huge difference to someone's life. Good luck. I hope it works out.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -
Afternoon allI am up to 4 NSDsHoping for lots this month, as I am trying to clear one of the freezers. We will have to move it at some stage as we will be having some building work done over the next couple of months, and although it is easy enough to take the drawers out to move it, it would be better still if it could be defrosted and cleaned out first!Grateful today for my covid jab this morning (I got one 'early' due to a medical condition), getting out in the garden to do a few little jobs between rain showers, and having plenty of food.10

Friday- still on NSD 3/15. Bought milk and bread so very low spend. Will have to do a proper food shop over the weekend to sort next week out, but I've got a list half written and will finish it off tonight.
Grateful today for meal plans and well stocked cupboards, a slightly quieter day at work, my new picture arriving and being amazing.
