Oh dear, today a not good day. We had the debrief and some procedures not followed yesterday. Not good as some major things rather complacent. Lyme Bay and the canoing tragedy springs to mind. In Outdoor Ed we have to provide a good experience but it does do a degree of risk! I think it will be in the tabloids next week. We have had the Press office on as the local paper wants quotes and comment.
The rescue squad came from RAF Prestwick yesterday! I hate to cost the rescue operation!
The good news is that the casualty only had severe bruising - nothing broken, dislocated etc etc. Parents have been on the phone to say thanks for the care.
Not read a thing today so hope you are OK.

Evening All
(((hugs))) Taplady & DS
Happy Birthday for Mr Churchmouse
Well I really dont know where today has gone. Didnt have time to post this morning as got up a bit late. Dropped DS at school then popped to Morrisons to get some of their bogofs. Have also done an online shop which is coming on tues - means that apart from fresh stuff at Xmas I shoudnt have to do a big supermarket shop till after we come back from holiday in February!
Popped round a friends I havnt seen for a while and got carried away chatting. So no housework done today. Will hoover and swish the bathrooms first thing tomorrow as later in the afternoon we are off to see the Golden Compass - really looking forward to it.
Off now for a surf and then vegging in front of the telly.

Evening everyone
awful awful day at w*rk - I won't go into details but I have beggared something up and will have to do some serious crawling next week. The worst of it is that that it concerns someone who I have a great deal of respect for and would not want to have upset her for the world but there it is - I will stress about this all weekend I think.
Anyway nowt I can do aobut it for now - its a daddy weekend and the meat is in the oven - yay. Oh no! just got a text from exoh to say that dd11 doesn't want to stay with him for the weekend. He has to go to his mum's this weekend but we had planned to all meet up for the Winter Wonderland. Have texted to say we will go next weekend - fingers crossed. She is at the pictures at the moment so I at least have time to finsih my tea I have already pretended to be going to a party tonight to get out of babysitting dgs and having exoh stay over. the best laid plans of mice and men and all that. I may have to put some glad rags on so I can have just come in from or be going out to said party.
My real plans are to knit and fly and watch 42nd street which I got from mr T for £3 - bargain
Taplady - big hugs - what a shock for you and yours
Kyle - that Twink sure is a spoilsport make sure you don't spend any on her - haI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Just popped back on to send massive (((hugs))) to TAPLADY and DS - what a dreadful shock that must have been. So glad he is OK but can understand how you feel, TAPLADY.
Thanks to everyone who told me the latest posting dates for Oz (today!) and Canada. Managed to get OZ cards off and will do the others tomorrow. Latest date for Europe is Thursday so I'm in good time for that.
Today has been absolutely manic - where the time has gone, I don't know. Hoping to put the tree up tomorrow and will get DH to colour my hair - I haven't done it for ages and it shows.
Anyway, I'm off to have a slow lazy bath and an evening in front of the box with my knitting.
Have a lovely evening, everyone.

hello again!
cheerfulness - hope the motorway driving goes ok!
Kyle - what a lovely suprise!:T
Had a suprise visit fom DS1s boss this evening. Nice of him to call to see how DS is. We have agreed that it might be best if DS found lodgings in Worcester and travelled in to work with his boss - cant bear him to do the long drive again - even if he had a car! so will be checking out the net to see what we can find in his price range. Got a spare room Thriftlady?
Havent had much of a rest today, dont know where the times gone so will try and get an early night tonight with a bit of a lie-in tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good weekend!
take care xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Oh dear
A very upset dd11 has decided to stay with me for the weekend. exoh had borrowed his dad's car but must get it back tonight and she just did not want to be in the car for over an hour. She says that mornings there are a bit busy when she wants to chill - no danger of that here. he says he may come by tomorrow but she's not holding her breath. both she and ex were crying when he left but it's his fault for being so unorganised.I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Glad you had such a good evening PP. Imagine what they will do for you on a miletsone anniversary if that's what they do after 14 years. They really do seem to be very generous. Is your OH feeling better? Sleep well.
Sorry to hear your DD is upset Stef.
Have spent the whole night trying to sort out my on line photos. Aaaaargh.
Night night. x
