They turned up today, again with the wrong tyres.
Third time lucky on Thursday hopefully.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

Third time lucky on Thursday hopefully.Do the fitters tell you the tyres aren’t RFT or do you get them to double-check when they arrive?;
...one wonders whether some less 'meticulous' guys would have just fitted the standard Bridgestones and legged-it hoping the customer was less than vigilant.
However, it’s a bad show all round;...by my reckoning they owe you £80 compo by now!...think of all the wine you can buy with that.

The first fitter pointed out to me that he had brought non RFT tyres and couldn't fit them as the car has RFTs on the front.
Is it illegal or bad practice to have RFTs on the front and non RFTs on the rear? I guess the ride would be unbalanced.
The second fitter was a different person so the first thing I asked him was had he brought RFTs. He didn't know so he spent about ten minutes examining the tyres. He then phoned his office and they told him they were not RFTs.
I looked at the tyres and couldn't confirm either way. There was no RFT marked on the actual tyre although there was a stuck on label that was marked RFT, presumably put there by TOTD.
Confusion all round.
I've taken Adrian's advice and asked Bridgestone if these RFTs are still available.A man walked into a car showroom.

If the RFTs are more expensive than non RFTs maybe I will end up with a bargain.
Or maybe Majestic Wine can look forward to a big order. ;DA man walked into a car showroom.

Loads of places offering those in runflat. The big sticky label has RFT clearly marked next to the barcode alongside BMW
