February 2021 Grocery Challenge

Our Feb budget won't start until the first but I'd like to drop it a little, just £10 a month to start with all 4 children snacking all day (how on earth do they make it to break and lunch at school!) So £490 for Feb please.

No spending here today. I can't remember how to do a running total and colours.
This is my first week of this challenge and spent £23.80 so far.

If you go into edit my profile (located top right, next to your bookmarked (subscribed) threads) you can choose edit signature from the list of options on the left. You already have some colours in your old one from 2015 so could change the text between the square brackets ] and [  to reflect your running total

- you can't change the colour in the actual post, only increase its size if you click on the backwards Pl in the bar above your post - and it will do the whole paragraph so use it carefully!

Sallyp2. Sometimes I use the casserole mixes as a flavouring for soups if I'm running short on stock cubes, they work well. Also, the main supermarkets have their own brand of mixes, a more limited range but cheaper, worth a look.

Just popped over here to catch up but I'm still working on Jan. The thread moves a pace, page 4 already.

When my Mum called last night she had been talking to our DS and had checked the Best Before dates on some sachets she has in the cupboard. Cue a game of Best-Before-Bingo - she beat me with a sachet of Coleman's Pepper sauce mix BBE1995 - yes the 20th century. It even beat the box of blancmange powder I had (BBE 1998!) - good job they are just powders
