Thanks @elsiepac for starting the new thread.  I'm in again for February.  Will stick with £250 for the month even though it's a shorter month as think I may well be over for January.  If there is anything left at the end of the month it will be moved over to my Bulk Fund.

  • Thanks, elsiepac; I'll stick with £400 again although our February budget won't start until 29th. That actually makes February a 5 week month for us as our main shop is nearly always done on a Friday. DS3 will return home permanently (as far as can be predicted) at the end of Feb or beginning of March, and at that point I'll have to put it up again as we'll then have 3 different diets going on between the 5 of us; in typical academic fashion he's extremely picky, though it's got better after two spells of studying & teaching elsewhere in the world. I'm hoping he'll find himself a day-job whilst applying for the sort of thing he really wants to do, so that he can afford the food he'd like, but these are strange times (to say the least) for job-hunters.

Hi elsiepac, thank you for the thread. Is it possible for you to put my £2750, as an annual amount please. It is down as monthly at the moment, would be lovely to have that much money, thank you, mumtoomany.

  • Thanks for the new thread @elsiepac 😊 Can I change my budget from weekly to monthly? I'm finding that I'm considerably under some weeks then way over on others so it's probably better for me to do monthly 😉
If it's okay, it will be  £300 per month - thank you!

Thanks @elsiepac for the new thread. My month runs as a calendar month so will be back on the 1st but could you put me down for £350 for Feb. I'll endevour to keep it under £300 but don't want to push myself too much. If the 0lio collections continue then we should be able to keep the spends low.

I don't seem to be able to download the Olio app for some reason.  Have downloaded the Toogoodtogo app but nothing anywhere near me.  Unfortunately because there is a river between where I live and another county a lot of stuff seems to come from there which is close as the crow flies but not for driving!  Would be about an hour or so to get there!

    Hi,

Thanks again @elsiepac for the thread!
I’m still working on my annual (well, til October when there will be changes) budget of £1950. Feb is a nice short month so it’ll be £180 for the month. I’m working on calendar months so will be on the January thread til then!

Thanks @elsiepac for the thread, may I be put down for £116 for the calendar month please?
I've decided to stick at £4 per day and any surplus at the end of the month is going into my "end of lockdown treats fund" which I plan to spend on touring various charity shops and interesting markets etc. when things improve.
