Hi,
Could I join too? I've been keeping a very strict way which I'm very surprised about as normally I'm rubbish with it!! I'm going to carry on with just using stuff out of my freezers and stores. I'm lucky that I can get some food from work for free so I arrange my dinners around what I can get. I do make sure I have the basic fruit and vegetables in. Please put me down for £100. Dog food comes out of another account.
The plan is that anything left pennies will be put away. It's part day next week and I've still got pennies!!
Maybe there is a positive of the lockdown...no c s and wasting money on stuff not needed!! I do miss going c.s .1 /10 nsd 😀6 -
Budget of £490 for Feb
I'm fairly well stocked going into Feb, although I have a £10 Lidl voucher which expires today so will head over there today.
I've been struggling with my mood through Jan so have decided to focus on feeling better in Feb, one of the things being to go alcohol free for the month. I know it affects my sleep and obviously our grocery budget. Also looking at making the healthier choice so lots of good nutritious food without the crap - hopefully another benefit to the food budget.

A modest £50 spend, on fish, cheese, fruit & veg at the market this morning; I wish I could think that that's it for the week, but I too will have to hurtle down to L!dls at some point & buy the non-perishables for this month. This week, meat will come out of the freezer, as supplies have been building up in there & we need to eat some of the older stuff up.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

So started the month with a trip to the Veg Shop and Lidl. £70.21 total spend which included £10.45 of non-list items.
(£3.98 on 2 x turkey rashers, £1.98 on 2 x dolmio stir-ins for lazy days, a pasta ready meal for 2 for 70p!!!! and a few other bits and bobs will all get used).
This is cheaper than any weekly shop since I started tracking at the beginning of Jan 20. Full week's meals sorted. can make bread, though might need milk, that should hopefully be it.

Hi, could I join in again this month please. I did my first GC last month and came in only a few pounds over, having bought my bulk buys for February out of January’s budget so hoping for another good month. Please put me down for £400 for the month. That’s £40 extra, but with no school dinner money to hand out, it’s actually a saving.I’ve just started picking up the L1dl F&V boxes, what a saving! Does anyone know if there are any days best to get these, or just it just depend on each store?Grocery Challenge Jan 21 - £86.15/£3605

@BelleBaluu I think it varies from store to store. I only go to Lidl occasionally and it's always been on a Tuesday. I've only managed to a £1.50 box a couple of times but I don't know if any days are better than others.
