Continue to wait for the end to actually arrive.

It's those that jump the gun that will continue to spread the virus, I can't believe that people are still booking holidays and trips.
The holiday I have booked was rescheduled from last year. So just got the deposit with them. Think most people have rescheduled their holiday 2020 to this year to the same time of year give/take 10 days. I certainly won't be flying until you don't have to wear masks on the flight - which I can see it will be at least 2023. As many airlines don't count scarves, snoods and face shields as face coverings. Being asthmatic, I can only wear a mask for 40 mins max.
Have you tried different kinds of masks, or building up your tolerance?  Lots of asthmatics are wearing them all day every day, even for 13 hour shifts in hospitals.  It would be a shame for that to stop you doing things that you want to do, because you are probably right they will be with us for a while I think.
I have tried several. The worst ones for me are the disposable types. I find as well as asthma making it difficult to breathe in masks, its the claustrophobia. As I wear a shield at work and need to take it off every couple of hours for 30 seconds.  I can escape to the staff areas to do this.

What do you class as ‘the end’?

I’ve got a couple of holidays booked to Greece. The flights are with BA so it’s not a huge issue if they don’t go ahead as BA are pretty good about their refunds/vouchers/rebooking. My employer is pretty flexible so I can just take the time on another occasion. I imagine a lot of people may have booked on that basis.
The end for me would be when the infection and death rates get down to less than a 'flu like' level.

Not talking about resheduled holiday, it is the new bookings that depress the life out of me, how can people and holiday companies be so irresponsible?

Able to do things that you remember. For many, one day blends into the next. For those who don’t go out to work, their excitement for the week is weekly visit to the supermarket.

Quite true. My sister said she never thought she would be excited about going to the supermarket.

My excitement of the week is a day not wearing a face covering. So on this day, I stay at home- with a walk and/or visit to my parents.

Everyone should try to have a face coverings free day.

Asthma doesn't make it difficult to breathe in masks because masks hardly reduce the airflow at all and the feeling of it being difficult to breathe will be a phycological issue especially if it makes you feel claustrophobic. Obviously this doesn't make it any easier for you but at least as there is no physical reason why you can't wear a mask you may be able to overcome it somehow and be able to wear a mask for longer.
