Last September I booked and paid for a holiday in Wales for September this year. Just hoping that will go ahead tbh! I do feel it should do, which would be great as it was a fab deal YNWA YNWA

I have lost a huge amount of money to Covid. Unfortunately the first thing I will have to do is 1.) Return to the UK, 2.) Spend a year re-saving. My first month of working in Japan I made more than 5X my rent just working in the McDonald's kitchen. Then Covid struck and I've been losing money/ treading water for the last year. Just hope I can afford Mexican rents out of savings until it's over, otherwise I'll be homeless and destitute in an LEDC

It is still unknown whether having the vaccine will stop you spreading the virus. So you could have the vaccine and still risk passing it on even though you yourself are protected. That is why the government want people who have been vaccinated to still comply with the restrictions, to protect those who haven't had the vaccine yet.Tammykitty said:Regardless of when the lockdown ends, as soon has my mum and Dad have the vaccine (and waited the 3 weeks or whatever for maximum benefit), I will be going home, to spend a night or 2 with them, give them a hug and eat a meal together, and stay up late playing cards, board games, watching a film or whatever. They will have spent almost a year with no visitors, i am not making them wait any longer - its cruel to expect people to have been shielding to stay in lockdown after getting the vaccines, when they finally feel safe to go out or see their children and grandchilren1

Well considering that all the previous tightening and easing of restrictions were based on the trend of the amount of people with Covid Cases and the amount of people needing to go to hospital for Covid treatment.
So i imagine that this will continue to be the way it's done because if the vaccine works well then the number of people in hospital will drop significantly and the cases will show a downward trend.
I doubt they will ease restrictions based on the number of people vaccinated.1
