Fayolle.. so sorry to hear you didn't get good news.. there is a lot of sucky sheet at the moment and I wish I could fix things for you all
I'm knitting up some of my freebie yarn into a dress/tunic for me.. because I might be naked if OH doesn't get his act together and look for a job ASAP.. He isn't back to work until May now apparently.. We can not manage on 80% of next to nothing..
Offloaded 2 carriers of stuff to my mother earlier.
My freezers have been filled with food to hopefully last 3 weeks until OH gets paid again. We will of course need fresh fruit and milk and bread but we should be ok beyond that.
REALLY bad day for Dot again, maybe not as bad as yesterday but I am so stressed with her beaviour, as is everyone else. Boog is struggling with her with his ASD stuff so I am constantly n edge, fighting fires and trying to keep everyone sane.. I think we might need a trip to the beach so she can run wild for a bit like a dog! Yes in January and I would even let them paddle .. I think we would ll benefit from some space.
I think Hazels kidneys are on the blink, hence her more weird than usual behaviour.. she smells wrong.. I need to see if we can get her in PDSA because there is no way on earth I can afford to take her to the usual vet.

Morning xx
Happy 18th Birthday to Fayolle's DD xx
Another frosty start here. The sky is leaden so I'm thinking that it might snow. It can do what it likes: I'm not going anywhere. I feel so much more human today: laundry has been sorted and first load is swishing. I'm up, my bed is made and my first brew is being slurped.

Morning
Yes, DD is 18 today. Lots of snow this morning looks like it might mean that she is housebound, just for a change, rather than the excitement of going to Mr W to get her birthday cake and to get a takeaway for dinner. Oh and to put petrol in her car - no end of excitement to a lockdown 18th, as you can see. I’m hoping the snow might melt by lunchtime, as there is no way we are negotiating the hills in this, but looking at the sky, that seems pretty futile atm.
Flying was planned to take a back seat today. If it gets any further back in my agenda, it will be out the door. So DH is emptying the dw - and that counts, right? I might flick the wm on as well, just to show willing.
Love and hugs to you all xx8 -
Morning all
Snowing here! All looks very pretty at the moment and I’m grateful for not having to go anywhere. Although we might head out for a short walk later.
House was cleaned yesterday, DH did most of it while I batch cooked, YS mince made into huge pot of bolognese sauce with added lentils and veg to bulk it out, I turned one lot into lasagne for the week and we have 2 pots in the freezer for another time, I also made bara brith, 1 for us and 1 to send to FIL.
I think today will be a relaxed one, laundry is swishing but definitely not outside drying weather! I have a little bit of work prep to do for the week so will tackle that as soon as I’m dressed. Then I think reading and knitting will be the order of the day.
Huge hugs to all, sending all the flylady vibes out to all in need xxx8 -

Happy 18th Birthday to Fayolle's DD xx I hope she somehow gets her cake - or maybe a heap of Twinks to compensate!
We have lots of snow here. Yesterday's (or was it Friday's?) leftovers froze again at -4 overnight, and I woke at 8.00 to a light dusting of fresh snow on top which has got heavier and deeper. DS1 has just sent me a picture of two dots on a snowy hillside which he claims is DGD1+2 sledging - I can't even see the top of the big hill to wave to them, because the cloud is so low and heavy. It looks lovely but I'm glad I haven't got to walk to church!
All dailies are done, so I'll be back on the ancestral trail shortly. Lots of unwanted pieces of paper binned yesterday, and there are more where those came from. This evening I intend to use up frozen mince to make a giant batch of filling for cottage pies and lasagnes. I think I will also make some mini fruit cakes, ice them, and send one to each of my DC for DH's 70th birthday celebration on Z00m next Sunday, then we can all light the candles at once and sing to him.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Hope everyone has a stress-free day xxx8 -
Morning, just. Late start today as it's freezing. It's just started snowing
Happy birthday Fayolle's DD, hope you manage to get something sorted for cake, rocky road or no bake cheesecake as you haven't got an oven. Ot chocolate tart that DD2 has decided she is making today.
OH has just gone to DD1 about 50 minutes drive away to take her all her clean washing that she left here yesterday as she wanted to go before the snow got bad and she needed to be home to let her landlord in to look at one of her cooker rings that had stopped working. He will hopefully sort out her desk legs for her too and bring her bedding home to be washed at my leisure. We had late breakfast, boiled eggs so will have an earlyish dinner this evening, roast beef.
DW unloaded
WM on, more to go
HHI done, more to do
Supposed to be taking my piano to friends this afternoon but with the snow that will have to be postponed.7 -
Pigpen, love the idea of sucky sheet. It reminds me of teaching a lady who was very strict with her children about bad language etc. Her office has a beautiful view over the forest and one lovely sunny day in late autumn she wanted to say how much she loved watching the leaves falling from the trees. Unfortunately in French the word for leaf is the feuille but that is also used for a sheet of paper, so she merrily announced how much she loved watching the **** fall off the tree. Once I stopped laughing I did explain.
