Hi everyone. Is there much around here on Vegas weddings - specifically the apostille process?

I'm British but my fiance is Italian. Reading online, the whole process of getting a marriage certificate (we leave 5 days after the wedding) and then an apostille seems difficult. Expensive too.

The chapel has a pricey package for sorting this all out but does recommend a better way that's also cheaper?
We got married in Vegas. Don't know what the apostille process is. I'm US and my OH id=s British. I did need to bring my divorce papers with me, but apart from my US passport and Wife's UK passport, licence was issued in about 5 minutes. $45 I seem to remember. we got married at the drive through window at the Little white wedding Chapel, another $45. Married for less than 2 Bacchanal buffets.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    hi all
I noticed nothing has been happening on the   board for a while and thought i d maybe  try   see what peoples thoguhts on vegas are now? has anyone done a recent trip.,trip report?any trips coming up? sadly for me i think  the days for  going to vegas  are maybe over, just   getting good value flights and hotel there seems to be  really exspensive and well addng on money for food,   shows, maybe an experince or two  and  a little gambiling(i am tight with money and alway s budget hard esp  gambiling!)  just  i am looking more at all inclusive holidays which seem to be a fraction of the price of a vegas trip.I  am  sorta happy  with getting my  vegas fix via youtube videos (travel ruby and  pompsie are my two go to people but am alwyas open to new videos/vlogs)
    kind regards,
    bobby

I think that's a mixture of this thread being labelled as "2021", and people have other avenues for info and pics now (Facebook groups etc)

You've also hit the nail on the head with value for money / cost of living etc (the US isn't as good value as it used to be)

(I still like to check in to see what's going on here though and if a really decent offer came along I'd probably return)

I recently booked for November in the Virgin Atlantic 40th Anniversary sale.
Flying into Seattle for a few days, then down to Reno for 2 nights and then Vegas for a week. Direct flights to Seattle and back from Vegas in Premium for just over £800,  so happy with that.

Still got to sort internal flights and hotel in Seattle, but Reno and Vegas rooms all comped, so that helps.

Think this is trip 24 or 25 since 1994, things were definetaly cheaper and different back then, and it was the only time I've ever had a 'hand pay'. Hopefully that will change this time, although I think that every trip. :)
  • I'm glad the Vegas flight from Manchester to Vegas with Virgin took off this morning as scheduled - all three flights last week were cancelled .
Three weeks to go - first visit in more than 5 years!

We went back to Vegas for the first time since pre-covid at the start of July.
We stayed on comped rooms at Aria & Luxor, and paid for 3 nights downtown at El Cortez.
Took a far larger gambling budget due not visiting for over four years…really enjoyed the “extra” gambling.
went for 10 nights and had a budget of $750 a day for gambling.Seemed quite excessive, but when you lose, it still goes quick.Went into Bellagio one night with $500…left less than an hour later with no money, and not even one “free drink” offered.Free casino drinks were in short supply nearly everywhere we went to be honest, really poor service.
To be fair, that night’s gambling was an exception, because most nights we got a good play for our money.
We brought home $5200 of our $7500 gambling budget…so well happy with that..add to that the fact we have now offers at MGM for 4 nights comped, without resort fees at all properties, and we have done quite well out of it.
The only downside to the trip was the heat…120 degrees meant we were hardly outside at all, and used Lyft most of the time. Not one for fancy food places, we are happy with Ellis Island, Grand Lux etc…but did enjoy a very nice steak while downtown at Oscars in the Plaza.
We took a tip from watching The Coin Show vlogs on YouTube and had a folder with each days gambling kitty in it.
Every day something went back into the folder, which obviously saves on spends for the next trip.
Never had any massive wins, but plenty of wins round about $200-250 dollars which keeps you playing.
Booked to go back in October with totally free stays in Aria & Cosmopolitan and staying at El Cortez again downtown for 3 nights, paying for one night…if it wasn’t for the ridiculously overpriced Virgin Atlantic direct from Manchester prices, it would be a very cheap trip…not including the spends of course.
£2000 for economy classic😡 for two people.
With not visiting for over 4 years, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, obviously helped by not losing everything😂
But have to say, it really has become quite expensive for everything…were quite savvy as to where to eat and drink, but everything has gone up considerably…although you can still get Ellis Island steak special for $10..and a $1 Bud at Stage Door😏
Bobby, have you looked at Aer Lingus flights to Vegas?…they are far more reasonable than Virgin, stopover in Dublin, then Vegas. There’s also the Norwegian airline flying from London…apparently dirt cheap if only taking hand luggage. While I know I said food prices have gone up, there’s still cheap eats available if you want them.
I wouldn’t give up on your Vegas hopes if I were you…there’s still nowhere else that compares to it.
