We managed to bag business class flights in the BA sale - my first time turning left! Wanted to push the boat out a bit as it's been so long. God, I miss Vegas...
hi
I hope you don't mind my noseyness but can i ask what price you got for the ba business sale? and your dates.
I ve been looking to go back to vegas for the last wee while but with covid n what not
i ve put things off.I ve said to my brother when i go back ( i sooo wanna go back!) and hope to go business class (maybe dreaming here) for in and around , hopefully less that £1500pp for flights but it seems a pipedream as the best i ve found is something in and around £2300 for late may-early june

Im afraid I can’t remember what the flights were specifically as we booked as a package through BA - we initially booked for December 2020 but my husband was too anxious to go then due to Omicron, so we moved it to 29/3/21 - 8/4/21. In total we’re paying £2300pp including accommodation, so I think the flights must have been about 1800. We had to pay extra for this, the December price was about 150pp cheaper. I think you will struggle for sub 2k business class in May/June as these months are much more popular. We usually go to Vegas in the off-season so we can at least get Prem. Ec. Plus it’s much less hot!2 -
hi
and thanks for the detailed post back messalin79!
and you are right in regards the price of business class and time of year which i understand but i always hope for a sale of kind that sorta hits the spot so to speak.I was hoping for some sorta deals in the black friday/cyber monday last year, but nothing hit the spot.
kind regards1 -
I really hope we can go this year, but had hoped the same last year so can't be that sure. We've been quite careful and have only been socialising rarely, but we did go on 2 UK cruises and then a cruise from Malaga, all of this when things were a bit better Summer-October. Just feel we can't plan and I definitely wouldn't go on a cruise just now. Not sure about the idea of Vegas just now either. Plus weather needs to be right. Hire car prices are sky high though.nvh said:And before you know it, it's 2022
So who is confident of a trip this year?
We are booked to go in April and I am slightly confident of it going ahead (as we managed to get to Florida for Christmas and it went pretty smoothly)2 -
Can I ask who that car hire is with please as that looks very cheap compared to all the major hirers.messalina79 said:
Ours were coming up really expensive too, but we used the search engine on this site and found some massively cheaper - we were initially being quoted £677 for a Nissan versa! We found a good one through Skyscanner's tool in the end, got a Dodge Charger for about £350 (nine days).pebblesmax said:Have you found decent car hire rates for your trip. Mine are still coming up astronomical. Like £500/ week. Crazy.
Is it with Fox by any chance? They do come up cheapest but the price looks too good to be true and I can’t see that insurance is included, there are a lot of negative reviews for them
hope it works for you and would love a review when you get back0 -
We are going business class ( one way) in May , booked a flight with a discount code in July last year with BA , hoping that restrictions would be lifted…business class on way out premium on returnbobbyhibs said:hi

Pebbles - I'd be interested to see what the prices are like that you get from here: https://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/offers/100062960.htmpebblesmax said:Have you found decent car hire rates for your trip. Mine are still coming up astronomical. Like £500/ week. Crazy.
(I haven't checked if there's any additional fees beyond the headline prices or insurance cover or the cancellation terms)
I know you're a seasoned enough traveller and user of this forum to have checked airport vs. off-airport pick-up / collection... can sometimes make a big difference (just mentioning for the benefit of others)1 -
No worries. Headline price looked cheap to me but I never went beyond it 👍🏻photome said:

I'm just trying to work out whether or not to book 6 nights in December for the current price...
It's working out just shy of £1000pp for direct Classic flights with Virgin, 2 nights in a Luxe room at Plaza, 4 nights in a standard suite at Venetian/Palazzo.
That averages out at about £330/night... I'd rather it be under £300/night average, but a) prices have generally gone up, and b) I'm impatient to get it in the diary
