Thanks. I thought carhire3000 became rentalcars who are still trading.. discover cars are registered in Latvia so I am dubious of using them.altho they are cheapest , odd though as all the cheap deals are with Avis , all other suppliers are double the amount plusIndout96 said:

Just booked an intermediate car for 7 days with all insurance inc tyres / key loss etc for £291 so not too bad at the moment. Mustang was about £100 more but its November so top down will not really be neededphotome said:
Are you driving between the 2 , if so have you seen the price of car hire at the mo, its roughly 3 to 4 times more than normalflybynight said:thats great cheers buddy, we are planning on doing a few days in la before we fly back from lax, or when we land at lax, i am guessing that decides for me we should do la at the end0 -
Got me worried now, just been checking around and yes everywhere else is twice the price, although they are on ravel supermarket and do have decent reviews on Trust Pilot.
I have emailed Avis customer services to check if they deal with them and if the voucher is valid.
fingers crossedTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
Hope it’s ok..I only read the one star reviews from people who can’t get hold of them if things go wrong, I do prefer these days to book direct with the rental company but at those prices I will go without a carIndout96 said:Got me worried now, just been checking around and yes everywhere else is twice the price, although they are on ravel supermarket and do have decent reviews on Trust Pilot.

Just changed my flights with Virgin from 17th Oct to 10th Feb, gutted that we won't make it this year, but a bit more time to build up the bankroll.

Looks like more stumbling blocks on the way..Proposed bill would require COVID vaccine, negative test for domestic air travel ahead of holidays - 6abc Philadelphia0

That doesn’t look any different to how I would expect it to be when the borders open..that is about domestic travel in the US, unless I am missing somethingVWPolecat said:Looks like more stumbling bloks on the way..Proposed bill would require COVID vaccine, negative test for domestic air travel ahead of holidays - 6abc Philadelphia0 -
Virgin to resume LHR-LAS flights in November! I wonder if there will be any good deals.
We're toying with a 4 night trip to NYC in November... But if I could 5 nights in Vegas for a little extra, I think I'd be tempted!0 -

What a bad week last week
started with Jet 2 cancelling our Budapest trip for Feb, then BA wanted paying Monday for balance of Vegas so paid it all, on Wednesday the cancelled the flights, took until Thursday lunch to actually speak to someone and all BA flights to Vegas stopped until 15/11 as Biden has not given a date.
So Vegas cancelled and full refund - then on Friday Biden gives date and we could have gone as it opens from 08/11
On a good note, went on Discovercars.com (see messages earlier) to find out the free cancelation turns out to be a credit valid for 3 years. I e-mailed them at 8.00pm as the phone lines are closed thinking the worst and got a reply back overnight saying a full refund would be given, it was in our bank Friday so very impressed with them.
