Las Vegas hotels and casinos are facing a service staff crunch which makes it extremely difficult for them to keep daily operations running smoothly and especially housekeeping “Guest Room Attendants” are in high demand.

When checking in at various resorts in Las Vegas over the past weeks I found the front desk / VIP Lounge associates always saying their biggest problem right now is to offer guests on time check-in’s as often it takes until the late afternoon until housekeeping managed to turn over all the departing guest rooms.

Even as elite tier with MGM Mlife and Caesars I found myself unable to check in until 2pm at times which is rather rare. Usually the casino hotels try to make rooms available for their players club tier guests as soon as they come available but that appears to be increasingly difficult.

Not going to happen I fear, US are only just starting their Delta journey and have a less vaccinated population. Mask mandate just announced for LA County and don't think it'll be long before mask wearing is mandatory indoors again in Vegas - it's already policy again for most staff.

    I did say 'hopefully' :)

A few Vegas youtubers that I watch have stated that covid numbers are rising rapidly in Vegas. Still hoping my trip in October goes ahead, but not 100% confident at the moment.
I was hopeful for a trip just before Christmas, but pretty much resigned to that being unlikely.

At least that's a couple of grand that can go towards some home renovations! 🤦‍♂️

Many UK people seem to pretty unhappy about "Freedom Day" already, and with the US behind us in terms of 3rd wave, Delta and vaccinations, I think we're in for a longer wait.

P.s. who do you watch on YouTube? Am always on the look out for some new content 🙂

The main ones I watch are:

    'Pompsie',
    'Not Leaving Las Vegas' ,
    'Bob Dingo' ,
    'Miles to Memories' and
    'TheTrooper97Vlog'.

There are a few others, but these are the usual ones.
I do like Bob Dingo and Pompsie and I rather like Ruby too

    nowt u can do...
use skyscanner, then spend a bit of time checking the sites from it, to see which works best for u.....
our SUV (FFAR  - fullsize) which is booked for 8 nights a month from now, should have cost like £370 , but in the end, had to pay £413...
If i booked it right now, its like £1200 + !!
  • Has anyone stayed at Elara before?

can  i pick your collective brains now i've stopped being so disappointed about my flight getting cancelled. we have now rebooked flights for end april ( never been in spring so thought  it would be a bit different) and need to book hotels. the offers i had at flamingo through caesars app were cancellable so i did that for this year, but am now looking for similar for next year. do caesars tend to have good offers (like discounts and food and beverage credit) at certain times like christmas, black friday etc, or is it random and i should just keep an eye out?

I'm not sure what your dates are, but the NFL Draft takes place on 28 April in Vegas (and technically 29, 30 April too), so room rates are going to be ridiculous, if they aren't already! So any offers you can secure now at a 'normal' rate, I'd be tempted to lock them in ASAP.

The Draft is a massive event, and it will be bigger than ever in Vegas. Think Superbowl, top boxing fight and top UFC fight all happening on the same weekend :)

did you have offers through total rewards(now caesers rewards). if so they have now pretty much stopped offering comps for low rollers like myself . I have always had at least 5 nights comped per trip in the best tower at Caesers palace, but not any more.

Have you ever gambled at MGM ( mlife)  I have just got 2 nights comped at Bellagio then a 3 night gap with 5 nights at Aria ( 4 comped) in May next year ...

having said all that I still dont think it will happen
