Hopefully they don't get the Indian2 variant0 -
hi
been getting my *vegas fix* via these vloggers i think there called.. i wanna go back! however i am getting a little worried in the last few days i have seen some of the vlogs (hopefully thats the right word) about some of the casino's (abeit the smaller ones) adding more taxes...an "electricity tax" i think was $4 a night
will other casinos add this?
also saw a video where a restraunt added another tax again a small amount (cant remeber the amount) but it does all add up.
fingers crossed things get back to normal and deals are to be had!!!0 -
Ahh you watch Jacob too
The energy surcharge is just at one off-strip property (The Artisan), and one other Strip cafe chain introduced a small food and beverage related tax... But places have tried similar things before and they've gone down like a lead balloon, so I don't think they'll stick around.1 -

hi and hopefully its not something other hotels will charge.would be super annoying!
Ye been watching different people on youtube...anything to get my vegas fix so to speak.
Hopefully looking at may next year, again if things go well going solo(said it for the last 2-3 years but things seem to go against me for one reason or another),I have been nagging my brother to come with me but no luck,so if its meant to be going solo, solo it is!
kind regards2 -

I didn't really do YouTube until the pandemic started, but honestly now watch some kind of Vegas content on there every day!
Still pricing up December trips, in the hope that might be possible, but otherwise next Spring (hopefully!)1 -

hi
yep there are loads of vlogs/youtubers doing vegas stuff, though it makes me day dream a lil bout wanting to go now !! laughs..i think there was a few recommendations a few pages back..i do like a guy called pompsie!
I am sorta waiting just now, not sure when flight sales will be on or when Mlife offers may be back but hopefully things open up for us brits to go to the usa and suddenly there are loads of good deals (fingers crossed)
and on a side note seems the £ to the $ is looking better than it was so hopefully that goes up and up!
kind regards

Pompsie is my fav vlogger. have you seen the one where he gets kicked out of cosmo and then the sequel where they give him the best suite in the Cosmo for a night as an apology1
-
hi photome
I recall watching most of the one where he gets kicked out and i did like the one where he gets the suite!I often speak to my brother in regards these suites, though most people are different, for us all we really need is a couple of beds, a tv, air con, a bathroom and shower and the room to be clean.!
just we often see these suites (nothing to do with pompsie of course) and i often think some of them are too big!
though given half a chance we would not say NO to a suite given half a chance !!! lol
kind regards0 -

I should think most of the time they'll be comped, or offered at the discretion of the casino, or taken by groups of people looking for a one-off splurge.
That said, we do like a decent a room, it's somewhere we will spend time, rather than just 'a place to sleep'. Vegas trips are always chill-outs for us and we probably do spend a few hours in the room every day just relaxing, looking at the view, getting ready to go out, etc. So a room with space is what we look for... entry level rooms at the Palazzo are great, the corner/panoramic suites at Vdara are just right.
For the next trip, looking for a fountain view wraparound at the Cosmo for a couple of nights!0 -
Wrap Around Suite was awesome when we stayed there, especially the bathroom layout ! (got 3 nights comp'd , and paid $50pn to get the wrap-around on the 51st floor).....
Worst thing about this was, after 1 too many drinks whilst losing my money at the tables, when we got to the room, i fell asleep butt naked on the lounger outside!
Woke up around 4am to come back in, only to be covered in bites!!!!also happened to be a heatwave (June 2016) which was pushing 117f, so down the pool the following day with bites in the blistering heat = haha !!!!!
