I've used Priceline/Hotwire for Vegas and got a few really good deals.
I booked Trump (deliberately, got to be careful with that if you're trying for Wynn/Venetian), Westin at a great price £30 per night, Palazzo, Red Rock. Obviously I was comparing with other deals and was very happy with the prices I was getting.
But....I wouldn't use it just now as it's not cancellable. Things are still very changeable and could be for a few years. Hopefully things will be good, but for example if theres winter covid and UK start restrictions on travel, those companies are unlikely to refund you. Personally I wouldn't do it till things are much more normal.0 -
Absolutely... I'm not planning on booking anything until much nearer the time, if at all.vegasvisitor said:I've used Priceline/Hotwire for Vegas and got a few really good deals.

I just needed the excitement of even being able to put together a hypothetical holiday
I enjoy the planning almost as much as the trip itself 😁
There will be winter Covid and I think masks and social distancing will still be a thing for a good while yet, even if we hit all the roadmap steps. But I'd be hopeful that travel between UK and US would be more feasible given both country's vaccination records.
Still, if we have to wait a bit longer, it just means the holiday savings pot keeps growing

On a similar Hotwire/Priceline theme... Has anyone had any joy with hotel, flight savings by using a VPN?
Which sites did you use, where did you set your location?0 -
I understand the logic but I’ve not come across that trick before (for hotels). Have you read about it somewhere, or just curious as to if it makes a difference. Please let us know how you get on 🙂secretmachines said:On a similar Hotwire/Priceline theme... Has anyone had any joy with hotel, flight savings by using a VPN?

ps - be careful re: booking flights using VPN - some ticketing rules, are restricted to ticketing office locations and from what I recall, you’re asking for trouble trying to get “locals prices”0 -
Well, it’s still quite a long way off our booked trip to Vegas in September, but I’m calling it early and cancelling.
Ive no doubt people will be able to fly to the states by then, but I’m already bored with the “will we won’t we” thoughts.
As someone who has a compromised immune system, I couldn’t wait to get the vaccine.
But it appears that it’s possible there may be little benefit from the vaccine if you have a weakened immune system.
So...I’ve decided either way, it’s not worth the risk, nor the hassle.
Not even going to think about foreign trips for the foreseeable future, and hope that somewhere down the line I get to go back.
For all those who do get to Vegas in the coming year....enjoy.🎲1 -
I have nothing booked ( cancelled twice) , I keep thinking should I book for Aug this year but like You, it’s the can we can’t we and then what will the conditions/costs be regarding tests both ways, queues at airports etc etc. Like you though I am starting to think the borders will be open in a month or 2

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!
So although most likely we wont be flying to Vegas on the 2nd june anyway
Am just random checking flights anyway, and it appears Virgin have cancelled there flights, well, upto July from what i can see !
Although i not had an email yet saying our flights are cancelled, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !!
But then i guess, the likelyhood of 2 countries with good vacination records and low numbers of issues opening the doors within 3 weeks, probably slim to none!
Oh well, no suntan for me!

Can’t see anyone flying tourists to the USA on 2nd june as the USA is on the amber list and that list wont be reviewed till the 7th june. I doubt it will change then, so then its another 3 weeks before the next review...even then of course it needs the borders to openStuieUK34 said:Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!

We also need the USA government to allow us to obtain Visa,s , ours from last year are still void even after we paid for them and no refunds.photome said:
