thanks Guys hopefully it wont come to that but who knows with VCS

will I receive a follow up letter from the courts confirming the set aside and allocation of costs?

As above, you should receive a copy of the judge's order (in writing) through the post in a few days. (You won't receive a transcript of the hearing itself - these are never created/sent as a matter of course).

my good friends, today my CCJ was set aside - to say I am pleased is an understatement - @coupon-mad, your input, wording and support helped me greatly so thank you so much

on the call VCS interjected straight away to consent to the set aside however they requested costs which I refused and thankfully the judge agreed however she would not discuss the PCN fee

I have however been awarded the set aside along with £95 expenses and the £255 court fee. VCS have 21 days to pay this however how do they pay?

Also do I receive this in writing or not and I know this might sound sill but is this all over now?

In your case you'd paid the PCN hadn't you, having been misled (led to believe) by VCS that it would remove the CCJ.

So yes it is all over because the CCJ will be wiped and it is great that you got all your costs at least!  You can't get the PCN you paid back but hey, VCS have to pay £350 and spent time on the phone and the rep would have had to be paid, too.

Who was it, an employee from VCS?  Or someone from Elms Legal?

You will probably receive a cheque later this month.

ANOTHER VCS ONE BITES THE DUST!

The problem with JB and VCS and Excel ( plus other parking companies ) is that they foolishly believe that they are in a bully boy business of daily litigation , when their true advertised business is the private parking industry , soon to be regulated due to their underhand scheming

When they concentrate their efforts on the core business and do so in a fair , non greedy overbearing manner , the sooner a fair deal for all can occur regarding private parking and associated charges

Mhclg plus MoJ take note ( and Boris )

His name was Mr Hows, he was very patronising and at one point the judge was not going to award costs as he had said this was not part of my case however when I directed the judge to my consent email to VCS which was ignored which clearly stated that if they did not comply I would be requesting court costs, she awarded in my favour, thank god!!
