    I think they have copied from another template about a Sussex court near Brighton, because it makes no sense to mention Brighton in a case at Liverpool, haha!

    You don't just 'dial in'.  Normally the court phones you, as long as you follow the directions sent out nearer the time about the hearing. The court hearing Directions normally tell you that you must provide your phone number by xx date.  That will be explained by the court - they will have to decide about how to proceed, given VCS throwing their toys out of the pram.

    Wait and see what the court decides and DO NOT accept a hearing on the papers if that is mooted by the court.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    We are not prepared to be borne by this costs for several reasons;
    This is the Defendant's Application and therefore they should be borne by the costs
    I know that lawyerly speak is sometimes not grammatical (to my mind anyway) but surely this cannot be right in any sense!

    No, it's a rubbish letter
    as pointed out they have an in-house legal team, and so could be considered represented.

    @Le_Kirk There's never a need for incomprehensible language or rubbish grammar.  I'd show you, but you don't want to ever have the misfortune to retain me (litigation being a distress purchase)!

    I  litigate as a first resort, if there is  profit in it.

    It means that, if I experience poor service, overcharging, fraud, etc., I threaten court.  I have now sued six people and cmpanies and prevailed in all of them .   I find that a letter before action usually achieves a satisfactory  outcome.

    Hi
    I have received an email today -

    After consideration of your e-mail, i have changed the hearing of the application to a BT Meet Me hearing which the court will arrange.

    An amended notice will be sent but please ensure that you send in your contact telephone numbers to the court so we can ring you on the day.

    So no paper hearing!!
