Round 1 done
The kitten has found a sparkly pipe cleaner to play with - I hope the dog doesn't get it! But at least he is not terrorising the dog now 🤦♀️
Round 2
Restack DW - why is it so hard??!!!
Paperwork.....7 -
Piggers, I would also contact my local councillor(s). They may be able to move things on 're your neighbours and their vile habit. Take a photo of your swollen face and send that to the councillor. Ditto police.
Could you get a few of your kiddiwinks to take up drumming or a saxophone or similar and start up a raucous tuneless cacophy of noise? Probs drive you mad though! But it might drive the neighbours away! Only joking, you need to be squeaky clean on the moral high ground with this i think. Blimey, judging by the rubbish that gets into the charts these days you might even make fortune as latter day Jackson five, Osmonds or you whoever but you get the drift!8 -
Morning all.
First work shift done and just back from docs with DH. Popped in Mr T for bread and milk while I was out, it was the busiest I've seen it so I didn't hang about. No dog walk today as it hasn't stopped raining since last night. Must get on with dailies now.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
It's snowing heavily here - my school has closed. It is a good job I am not there - there is one road through the village - at one end you cannot get up the stepp hill (and that would be my preferred village exit and it has trapped me before) and at the other end there is a bus which has crashed. My jobshre can get hom if she walks across the field. Not sure about everyone else, though some live near enough to walk. I'm supposed to be in tomorrow. I was called to go in today but never heard mobile and they didn't try landline so I've dodged a bullet there. I would have been trapped.
I must get my emergency winter car bag out of the shed and I must have boots etc in the boot just in case. Can't look for them in the morning when it is still dark.
Online work marked across all areas.
Have spread more stripper on sills. Must remove and scub down next, then leave to dry then re-evaluate.

Thank you Honey Bear6 -
Dailies done.
One long text message sent to a group, one short email sent.
Coffee made for us both. I've drunk mine, but DH's is still sitting on the side in the kitchen.
Rosie has barked at the delivery person who brought my new undies and slippers!
Fed up with sitting at my desk and looking out at miserable horses plodding along the muddy lane, which overnight has become littered with garbage thrown out of a car by some thoughtless people, so I'm going to go and sort some papers in the bedroom (where I get a view across the rooftops to the far side of the valley). I will deal with the garbage when I take Rosie out after lunch - must remember to take a carrier bag with me, and my walking stick has a nice spike on the end for stabbing and picking up what looks like chip papers.
(((Hugs))) to Fayolle, Narc0, piggers, dancemum, Mademoiselle's DD, and anyone else in need today xx7 -
Thanks to DD2 great help all the wallpaper has gone off the walls in the downstairs loo. So that's it started, I've been meaning to do it for weeks. Will now have to continue with filling holes, sanding etc and then paint. Trip to diy shop this weekend.

Thrilling Thursday ~ Master bedroom/second room
Level One..
Clear the floordrobe!
Level Two...
Vacuum the floors.. and the cobwebs!
Took everything off dressing table and bedside table, dusted, replaced only those items meant to be placed there.
Cleaned out my gym bag and left just one of everything in there i.e. returned excess contact lenses, scrunchies, shampoo, hair clips etc. Was faintly horrified to find my Avon spray body oil had actually gone solid, such is the bedroom temperature.
However, on that note, engineer has confirmed that a new boiler will be fitted on Monday!!! Yay, central heating after about 8-9 weeks without.
Ordered seeds.
Had drum lesson.
Ordered drum kit......having loaned a fairly crappy set from the music college and as it's looking very far in the distant future that I can return to using the kit in the chapel, I decided to treat myself.
Spent a while looking up poems I may read for the funeral, if I can cope.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
I wish I could say something helpful Fayolle but I know there really isn't anything that makes any difference. Enjoy your flowers and try to stay strong xx
Lots of problems at the paid stuff today but feeling fairly positive, I seem to have achieved a lot. Exercise class done first thing. DS and DH are both home so they were dispatched to the shops with a list of necessities. Hardly any fruit and veg in Li@l they said.
We have had a dusting of snow and it is very very cold. Flying is fairly minimal, DH and DS have done bits here and there but DH has hardly moved off the sofa for most of the day. Going to do a little yoga and put PJs on I think.7 -
Evening all, and thank you. I think I must have become a whinger, and for that I am sorry, so I am going to try to follow Mademoiselle’s advice and SMILE a bit more.
Today there has been some fluttering, although work took up double the time that it should have. The bed was stripped, bedding washed, dried indoors (DH wfh means that the house is becoming like a sauna, and sometimes unbearable), and even ironed this evening. Go me. The utility fridge has been emptied, cleaned, moved (eek!), vacuumed behind, and now is back in place. DD drove me to the surgery to pick up a prescription, so driving practice ticked off along with an essential visit. I did however run out of time to get dinner in the sc early enough, so it was fish fingers for tea. Not quite as planned, but good practice for when I get to Round’s flylady commune.
Hugs all round, especially to Dancemum and Narc0. Not forgetting Sweetie with his mirror traumas either.8 -
