Sorry I'm late. But I was up early and went to work at the creche this morning to replace a colleague. OMG 3 40 minute sesssions with little ones was quite a challenge, in the past we've done 25 minute sessions, 40 nearly killed me! I'm too old for this.
DD2 made lunch so that was greatly enjoyed
WM on
Bed made, clothes picked up
We're on a 6pm curfew from tomorrow, won't change much but means we will porbably sit down with a glass of wine even earlier. Got to look on the bright side!
Need to go shopping or at least do a click and collect today.

Well apart from a bit of a Modified Monday, I have actually done a whole week sticking to the list!
Friday ~ Barnacle Bathroom and WC
Level One...
Declutter and mop floors!
Scrub the bath/shower/basins/toilets/bidets etc.. don't forget the outside of the loo and under the scanky rim.. it gets naaaaaasty under there!!.. oh, and don't forget the top of the cistern!
Level Two...
Sling shower curtain/bathmats in the wash and scrub down the slimy tiles! Washed bathmats already this week
Polish up the taps so they shine!
Level Three...
Scrub down the paintwork and radiators.. back and front! I wouldn't use the word 'scrub' but the heated towel rail is sparkly now
Clear and wipe window sills and frames and make the blinds/curtains nice and clean
Extras
Polish mirrors and shelves!
Also:
- one load through DW
- juggled my flower gear cupboard in the garage with a few other things ready to make space for the new boiler on Monday.
Grateful and impressed my self-employed income support arrived already.
MIL: Checked and tried donation page on funeral director's site; finally found a poem I feel I can read - Mr N likes it so have sent it to BIL for approval. I'm also adding one verse of my beloved Isaiah which is appropriate. Mr N told by the PO that there was no point in posting things to Canada (MIL used to live there so we have to send registered copy of death cert to close bank a/c and stop pension) as they will almost certainly be lost. He also had long chat with UK bank where he had set up a joint a/c with BIL for MIL's UK money and to use as funeral expenses. Bank screwed up and said he set up a 'new profile' so he can't actually access the a/c - as he doesn't know what that means, there is minimal chance he set one up. Bank said it will be accessible in 2 weeks time - Mr N pointed out that the funeral will be over by then so we won't need the a/c.
And I've really had enough now; as expected, we had the message that our dear friend in Norwich lost her battle with C today. Dreadful for her husband as his own father's funeral is 21st.
Tried to cheer myself up watching and photographing the 12 fairies who now visit the bird feeder several times a day.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -

Hugs Narco. And anyone else who needs them.
Before second shift I polished mirrors and some shelves and sorted out some bits in the bathroom.
Our new cooker didn't arrive. Been told to expect it in the morning. Tomorrow is my do nothing day especially as I'll now be working six part time days a week during lockdown. We need to bleed the radiators though.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Sounds like life is being harsh Narco.. much love and we are here if you need to offload or anything practical we can do to help xx
My number 3 child was 25 today (15th) .. this time 25 years ago he was fighting for his life in NICU.. having just had 2 cardiac arrests and taking 45 minutes to resusitate... every year I hear that neonatologist begging him to breathe, it rips my heart apart every year.. but he is here, he has his problems but the outcome could have been soooooo much worse. He was very lucky.
I don't think I have done anything today.. I cooked dinner.. sent a bag of food we were given but won't use, to my mother. SD and OH took some big things to the tip which has made me happy.. no more bath in my front garden! Thats a good thing!
Oooh police cars in my street... off to twitch some curtains!

Hugs Fayolle and anyone else struggling.
Pouring with rain here today. I have left DH in bed after a particularly rough night, so should the cooker turn up early, I'm still in my dressing gown. Think I'll do some knitting.
Have a bearable day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
