  • After 4 weeks of everything ticked on the tracker they asked for another document yesterday - so we start the wait again! Both employed and have equity in our current house so we stupidly thought that would make it quicker!
Mind blowing how long this takes for some of us!
  • @Staceymw Oh no, it’s ridiculous how long it’s taking for people. Ours was all tucked yesterday and hasn’t moved to offer so I think there going to request more info for us to
  • Natwest just asked for more documents such as bank statements showing rental and company accounts is that something a good sign?

It’s a good sign in the sense it means your application is being processed and moving along. It means your closer to reaching a decision. They won’t decide until they have fully assessed everything wether your approved or rejected.

Did they request this today? Surprised it progressed on a Saturday. Didn’t think they worked weekends. If they work Saturdays then it’s a positive for the people waiting as it means Saturday is a working day.
  • Yes its requested today. I was surprised too. I have all those documents requested but its says approve on condition of those documents. Something good?

We can't tell you if it's good or bad, they ask everyone to provide documentation, the more for self employed, whether they decide to lend will depend on their own assessment of your affordability, deposit, LTV etc. There are many factors they take into consideration. Just because they've asked for more information, doesn't mean anything other than they are at least looking at your application. It's just part of the process.
  • Thankyouu so muccch for this. I really appreciate it honestly. Thankyou for assuring me

    Was the lender natwest?
Yes. NatWest . I was shocked too by the speed. No additional document asked but I did do my homework before submitting my application. All credit basically paid off and both are fully employed and affordability was not an issue.
  • We just got our offer through. So happy right now.
