It is perhaps the second one on here recently , but you should have been checking MCOL online weekly , then emailing a DQ as soon as it said one was posted out , plus carefully reading all the contents of any envelopes and asking us if not sure

Nice of court to give a second chance to send it in. Is that always the case?
Yes, I think there is something in the CPRs that says they must send out that seven day reminder.

  • Hi all, hope you are well.

Just an update to say that my witness statement with exhibits has been sent to Claimant solicitor and my local court.

I'm not sure why but on the .gov website the email address for my local county court has Brighton in it. Is this because all county court emails go through that court on way to the specific court the hearing is actually in?

Should I post a redacted WS for people to see?

    Thanks all.

No, that isn't how it works.

You may have told us already, but which court is your local court?

Horsham county court. Had trouble finding correct email address online.

I sent to both the enquiry email addresses at this .gov link
    https://www.find-court-tribunal.service.gov.uk/courts/horsham-county-court-and-family-court?q=Brighton

If this email address is incorrect then I guess I can show incorrect info on .gov website to judge and there will be leniency. I can prove I tried to send before 14 day limit.

I signed forms using the drawing and scribble function in Google docs. Any idea if that's ok? It is written by my finger, as is the date.
Several sites online said electronic signatures are ok for witness statements.

Horsham and Brighton are the same court circuit. So that’s fine, and yes you can sign electronically these days.

  • Thanks coupon. Appreciate it.
I will definitely come back and leave a comment or two about parking charges.

Should I post my redacted WS?
It's now too late to change but would be good to hear peoples feedback regardless.

Thanks again everyone who gave me help fighting these buggers x

Show us the WS but make it clear you have already served it otherwise you will get comments to make typo changes, etc.

  • So I've just had my telephone hearing, unfortunately I lost.

However, in the end I think the total amount I will need to pay is around 250.
The judge only allowed a fine of 100 plus the claimants court costs and attendance fees.
This is because in the Claimants witness statement their own photo showed no T+C sign in place.
So I'm feeling pretty good actually.

Was worried I would have to pay about 500 in the end.

Thanks again everyone for all the help and advice, it really is appreciated.
