    Hi all

Son in nursery is having an easter bonnet parade-any inspiration on how to make a manly easter bonnet which isn't yellow and fluffy and suitable for a rough and tumble 3.5 yr old?

I've bought a straw hat and chicks, but it looks so girly! Any ideas gratefully received on how to defeminise it!

Could you use a baseball cap to work on

Thanks to you lovely lot on here. my mum was the recipient of a rather unique 'frothy coffee' today:D

I bought a clear glass mug & used a pale coffee coloured flannel....she doesn't like strong coffee, which is lucky cuz the colour goes better in her bathroom!....& topped it with a cream bath scrunchie. That was to replace the darker one I'd found a couple of weeks ago, but as soon as I put my bag on the floor to put my keys away, Pup had whipped it off & torn it to shreds:o But this one looked nicer cuz it was smaller & fitted into the mug as opposed to just sitting on top.

    Mug............................1:75
    Flannel......................... 69
    Scrunchie...................... 25
    Milk Frother Wand...........4:00
    Total cost £6:69

Soz....no camera so no photo, but now I've started, I can't wait to have a go at summat else!

Re: boys Easter bonnets......take the baseball cap idea & turn it into a hot cross bun?

Where is the best place to buy the large muffin cases for the flannel cakes please. I did order some from ebay, with little red stars on, but I've seen posts on here with lovely strawberry cases, and I'm sure others. This thread is so long now, I've spend ages looking through to find suppliers of the large cases with straight, not crinkled, sides.

Hello there we all got ours from ebay
    including the strawberry ones

this is the seller we all bought from

    http://www.bakingfrenzy.com/images/Squarecup/squaremuffin.jpg

I notice she does not have any strawberry ones
listed but I am sure if you email her she will
probably list some for you.She has
the Winnie the Pooh ones in her shop Baking Frenzy.
She is the cheapest, but there is another seller
doing the sme but theirs are for larger amounts.

    happyshopper-uk

They are both based overseas but the service
is pretty good and most recieved their parcels
    within a week.

Got this cake box from Asda it had
a chocolate swiss roll in it,it was in their
    reductions for 50p,the kids chomped
away merrily on the cake while I kept
the box.All the stickers came of quite easily
the one on the front has come away but left
a little residue so I will use nail varnish to
remove it.Its perfect for the xmas log although
a bit short in height for cup cakes.

just bought some lovely fabric online to make
a handbag can anyone reccomend a site
that shows you how to make bags.
Just to get some tips to ensure I
get it right mainly because the fabric
I picked I wont have a lot of and if i go about it
the wrong way it could end up looking awful

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Rosekitten, at keeping the cake boxes! I have done exactly the same thing with a round cake box from Morrisons.. What are we like??:rotfl: :T

Morrison alert: all the cupcake stuff was reduced this morning.

I got 4 more mug sets (my house is filling up) and the cake tins, all for £1.48 each. Unfortunately there weren't any aprons left.

The pictures are so cute. Cupcake obsession or what?

rosekitten - bags ............I think someone was running a thread on OS Moneysavers board about bags and ways to make them. Might be worth a look.

Love the candlewick cakes...............never thought of useing that.

mumoftwo - fast as I try and de-clutter I fill up the empty spaces with cardboard boxes, loo roll middles (making sort of christmas crackers with flannels.............lol) and anything else I might think 'useful'........lol

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
