I've got some ribbon and then found some denim stick ons I'd had for ages........that long I'd forgotten them so I'll put the ribbon across with a denim stick on at each end. Look quite smart.
Put tiny chicken in with the mini eggs.Mary

Whats the best glue to stick ribbon to plastic ? I dont want to make a big mess of sticking this on to my sweet boxes but I want it to stay put.
I've got glue dots and think they might do it but wondered if pritt stick would serve the purpose and give me a flatter finishMary

mary43 I bet the glue dots would work
when ever I am trying to get off
sticky labels that wont come off
clean.I get off what I can and
use nail varnish remover,seems
to work well
I also use it to remove writing
thats printed on cellophane
& plastic boxes it works for that
too although some wont budge
its amazing what you can remove
with nail varnish remover.Got a
cheap bottle in the kitchen that I
use for this type of thing its a couple
of years old now but still seems effective.

If you get stuck finding strawberries
you could always use hose little fluffy
easter chicks they sell in the £ shops
it seems that last year poundland had
plastic fruit and they are hoping that
they will get more in so if anyone
spots these let me know.
When I have asked here its been blank
looks and "plastic what ?":j:j:j0 -
Lovely cushion Rosekitten!
Went back to Morrisons and they had the aprons this time, so had to get it. Too cute to cut up though but I might change my mind yetI want to make a little curtain for my backdoor window, might need another apron for that. Now all Morrisons need is the cake tins, I have the worktop saver already too.
When I cut mine up I carefuly
unpicked the front pocket it
came away fine and has not
left any mark where the pockets
been.At two for £5 its better value
than buying a couple of fat quarters
+ P&P. I dont know why this type of
fabric is so hard to come by and why
its so expensive. If you dont think
you have enough you could always
use a plain fabric and do a thick
border along the bottom with
the cupcake fabric.
My neice has just made herself a
lovely cushion with Bambie fabric
and now wants to make another
one for her friend. When I made
my cushion I did this as a removable
cover mainly because of the white
background.
I noticed that on the apron is a label
with a makers name on it I googled it
and they make some lovely stuff for
different companies including the
Victoria & Albert Museum.Shame I
cant find the label to put in a link
to the site for you to see.:j:j:j0 -
rosekitten - had a look round town this morning for the pritt stick I'd need and got some strange expressions from shopkeepers...................lol So, think it'll be the glue dots. I always have them anyway for card making.
Popped into our craft shop for a bit of 'boy type' ribbon and after much poking about I found some (Got black yesterday and it doesn't look right)
Then I got some stick on parcels in felt, just plain blue with darker shade blue so that'll be grandson sorted out.
When I had a second look at the denim stick ons I'd got they were a bit on the glittery side...............grandaughter will love them.
Just got to think of something to put on an Easter card now. Most of the images I've googled are for younger kids.
I'm sticking out for plastic strawberries...........the cup cakes are for Easter pressies, I'm going to pop them in as part of a hamper ..........bound to be some around eventuallyMary

If you strike lucky with the strawberries
let me know.I have five strawberries
that were kindly given to me but I am
going to need more.I am toying with
the idea of going to that place that
sells them in person its in Heysham
thought I would suggest a day out
when the weathers a bit better in
Morecombe and call in on the way.:j:j:j0 -
I'll keep my eye open for them rosekitten - I've yet to try the cake decorating shop as it was closed so if you want any let me know how many.
Finished off the retro sweet boxes this morning and ended up covering the long panel of perspex at the front that I'd scratched with some semi-clear stiff paper from our craft shop (got it in a bag of offcuts). Stuck one on with pritt stick and the other with double sided sticky tape then put happy easter ribbon across the front with a denim sequinned little patch at one end of grandaughters, felt blue parcel for grandson so that problems solved and they look good...............even the lad we look after was impressed (might do one for him on the quiet...................lol)Mary
